Newt Gingrich's Ex Wife Claims He Wanted an Open Marriage

Ah, the Party of "Family Values" and "Gays will destroy the sanctity of marraige!".

As much as despise the fact they are interviewing an ex… not good Journalism in my book,( there will always be Axs to grind) I do find this entertaining to say the very least.

One of the most enduring arguments against marriage equality has been that the gay lifestyle is anathema to monogamy--yet most of the gay couples I've know have been happy and monogamous for years (decades), and conservative Repubs like Newt love to wife-hop, cheat, and engage in polyamory. These folks always seem concerned with "morals" and "sanctity" when it comes to other people, but not with themselves.

Shows how tilted the liberal media is. This story is all over the place, yet when John Edwards was having an affair on his sick wife and having a baby out of wedlock, the media wouldn't touch that story and it took the National Enquirer to break the story.

But once the Edwards story broke, Goth, it was everywhere. It's not as though the WSJ and Washington Times were covering it initially either.

But further, it's more of a story when someone is pronouncing on the morals of others while behaving as Gingrich has for decades.

If the alleged liberal media (ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN etc.) left the story of Edwards' marital messes to be broken by the National Enquirer, we can't forget that the conservative Republican media (Fox News, CBN, etc.) also left the story of Edwards' marital messes to be broken by the National Enquirer.

Goth was gloating and smiling all during the Edwards and Weiner scandal and I am sure he was laughing it up during the Clinton scandal as well. Edwards was not running for President when the story broke. However, the media reported on this NON STOP! Just like they did with Anthony Weiner. Did the 'liberal press' report on the Ensign scandal? What about the Foley scandal? Or the Vitter scandal?

Goth, do you actually think this is a non news story? Really Goth? Really?!

I love what Dan Savage had to say. I hope 'Swingrich' catches on as his new nickname.

I guess Goth agrees with RUsh Limbaugh who called Newt 'a victim' today on his show. Yup, a serial adulterer who cheats on two of his now ex wives is a victim. Hell, let's take the media out of it. Everyone on this board expressed their disapproval of Edwards's behavior. If someone supported him, please provide a link, because I missed it.

So, Goth, here's your chance to show us all: What is your opinion on the subjet at hand. Do you in any way disapprove of Gingrich's behavior and hypocrisy?

Why? Because Gingrich was served “a fastball down the middle” on the matter at Thursday night’s debate and “just knocked it out of the park.” So says Matthew Dowd, the GOP strategist who was on ABC’s “Good Morning America” on Friday.
