Yeah, that Clark!
So far-the tranny, ISis, is okay until she opens her mouth. Strange shape and walk, tho.
Tyra is again trying to act and stick herself into everything. She isn't good at it and makes a fool of herself.

I agree. So far, the only one I really like is the girl who had the Saudi Arabia "experience." Although the red-headed cage fighter had a really striking face, too.

Oy this is some group!
I can't stand Sharaun already.
This season should be good, though because the group is so motley!
And dumb! One couldn't name any models, one couldn't name any designers, and one couldn't name any photographers.
And one didn't know what bureaucracy is!

That was a HILARIOUS way to go, too. I love when they get really melodramatic. Thank God!

My favorite was the Harvard grad in English and American literature who could not name her favorite English heroine. I nominate Clark for the next exit.

LOL. It'll be fun this season watching how dumb they are!

Well, I can't wait for the makeovers! I'm so glad Miss Thang is gone too! I was so afraid they would keep her for good television. I thought the concept at the beginning of the futuristic thing was so corny! So, I guess there's no "plus-size" model this year. I thought Ilina was beautiful- except for the ugly tatoos across her lower abdomen. Of course, Miss Alaska will turn out to be a racist. Miss Sheena was funny. Don't really have a favorite just yet. Oh, and puleeze, the Whitney Cover Girl commercial was soooooo fake! Hated her voice in it! Okay Mister Matt- I'm here waiting for your comments!

I watched some of it. Yeah, I thought the Harvard girl did not sound very intelligent. The way she spoke really annoyed me because it sounded more like she was trying too hard to sound intelligent. And honestly, Isis just is not pretty at all. Even if she wasn't a transsexual, she wouldn't be.

Yeah, but Tyra will keep Isis as long as she can- to prove her point that she is fair-minded. The judges will give her really good critiques- no matter what but I agree- she's not that pretty- but she takes good pictures!

True, she is not pretty, and looks kind of tiny next to the rest of them. She might be there for a while, but I doubt she can win.

Why is Isis even on this show? Isis didn't even go though with a complete change as of yet. In reality, she's still a he. I don't agree with this. It's either all women or it's not. I know I opened the door to alot of things, but in my opinion this is a ratings stunt. ANTM has officially jumped the shark on this one.

I agree it's a ratings stunt. She/he was discovered in the background of a photo from last season and looked good in the picture, so now she's being considered as a top model. Really.

Yeah, I agree that it is a ratings stunt a bit because it is sort of controversial. Some people will not care either way, but some really do. Like my sister was calling Isis a freak and other stuff similar.
Actually, I read in my newspaper yesterday that apparently this show is not the first one to have a transsexual model. Janice Dickinson had one on her show in it's first season, I think. However, I don't get the channel with her show, so that's probably why this show is getting the attention.

I think Marjorie is adorable. And I like Sheena a bit...but I don't think she'll win...because I think she might continue to come off as a "hooch" or at least just a bit too curvy to win the whole shabang.

I think Sheena might win because, among other reasons, there hasn't been an Asian top-model yet. Tyra likes variety in her winners. Of course, Isis also falls in that category. Although I do think Sheena has a better shot because she needs improvement, and Tyra does like to play momma to these girls. In the past, the most improved model tends to win over the girls who know their stuff from the beginning. Isis already has a good working knowledge of modeling, so I don't know see how Tyra can take credit for developing her talents.

Sheena's got an interesting ethnic mix. So do a few of the models this season, which is why I bet they heavily featured all of their ethnicities in the opening interviews.

Plus- they've never had an Asian girl win.

That's true...I just think she needs to learn to tone down her sexual vibes a bit. She did seem to exude some sort of risque nature with every pose in that first shoot. But I mean...to her credit...she WAS wearing the "hoochiest" outfit of the bunch. I like her; I hope she does well.

Marjorie is wonderful, if they don't ruin her in the makeover, the way they did with Claire in the last round.

I'm running behind and swamped this week, but don't worry mom, I will definitely have something to say about this premiere. How could I not with "Tyrabot"? I mean...wow.
SkierRob02 - Isis is transitioning. If you want to get technical, she is a preoperative transsexual, but why belittle her? I think if the show feels she deserves to compete as a woman, then that's good enough for me. She's not competing as a man, so it's not like it really changes the competition for anyone. While at first, I also chalked this up as a ratings ploy, but I can't help but see the positive side of raising awareness of transgender issues, which your comment (as well as those of some of the other contestants) illustrates perfectly.
That said, I love Sheena. Her look is ok, but so far her personality is a winner. I hope she doesn't turn into a bigoted judgemental bitch, Clark.
