The only actor I met is Charlie Sheen, and all I can say about that is he was a total horn dog. Nice, but horny.

Carol Channing was lovely, and Seth Rogen was intimidating but pleasant.

Most recently, Laura Linney after Les Liaisons. A little cold, but still nice enough to take pictures and sign autographs.
Nicest actor? Definitely Jeff Goldblum. Me, my sister, and my cousin met him before a performance of Pillowman, and he was talking to us as if he'd known us for years. Very friendly. Also, Ron Eldard and Helen Mirren were both class acts.
Met Rebecca Romijn in NY a couple of years ago, and she was a sweetheart.

Definitely Donna Murphy who was just insanely sweet both times I've met her.
Joaquin Phoenix once held the elevator door for me at the Burbank airport, that sorta counts.
Saturday night I stage-doored BOEING-BOEING with WannaBeaFoster, and Mark Rylance was adorable, sweet, and just great.
Christine Baranski was pretty quick to go home both times I saw the Encores! FOLLIES but she chatted, signed autographs and took pictures at BOEING-BOEING so go figure.

Every actor I've met was very gracious, but I did love the cast from [title of show]. They were so incredibly sweet, just lovely people.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.

Charles Busch is the sweetest, most humble and down-to-earth actor I've ever met, granted I've only met a few.

Adam Wylie. :) he's so sweet. I think he's the friendliest actor I've met so far. Megan Hilty was a sweetie too though, so she's a close second. :)

ByTheSea - Adam is a friend of ours (actually, a neighbor, as well,) so I will tell him of your thoughts. Everyone likes to hear nice things
For me, I've found those with overtly negative attitudes to be rare. And as far as I'm concerned, that erases them from my consciousness.

Aw, please do, DG! :) he's a really wonderful guy. I chatted with him for awhile at the stagedoor back when he was in Wicked in LA, and he couldn't have been nicer. :)

Cheyenne Jackson, Tom Wopat, Ann Reinking, and my top favorite, Anne Bancroft. She was so warm to my mother after "Occupant." My mother went on and on about how much she loved her, respected her, etc. Anne was so gracious- took a pic, hugged my mom, and engaged in conversation for a long time with her. My mother was thrilled!!!

Scott Bakula.....in fact his wife and kids, too. They talked to us for quite awhile, acting like they'd known us for years.....

Easily Kathy Bates. She and I are from the same place, and she was exceedingly charming to me when I met her in NYC.

Chita Rivera is the definition of sweetness. It's like she's almost humble, and not that false humility that makes you roll your eyes. She's a real Diva so she doesn't have to ACT like a Diva.
jenifer, I had an unpleasant Wopat encounter. And others have told me the same. This was on a professional level, not a star/fan meeting. Maybe if I'd been a fangirl he wouldn't have been so wierd and nasty?

Sam Harris, Debbie Boone and Linda Eder are among the sweetest people I've met. Veanne Cox was also quite a sport when I put her in touch with one of her old friends and was extremely nice about the whole thing.

When I was a wee young YWIW, I got really good grades in grade school. I was rewarded with going to a screening of the Original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I loved the book, and loved the movie. My folks had contacts with MGM, so somehow, this was a screening that Gene Wilder attended. I was introduced to him, and he chatted with me for a few minutes, and then waved goodbye to me as we passed via escalators.
It was amazing to a 6-7 year old child.

Great story, YWIW.
For the record, the nicest actor I've met is my husband.

No, not yet - and not worth going into the whole scenario.
But, you never know!
I still call him my husband, though. I think just because I have a thing for ownership rights

I've hung out with Fran Drescher a bit, and she's always very sweet. Quiet, but sweet. Also Alicia Silverstone. and Michelle Phillips.
