Nick Adams : Turtle Bay gay snub?

I have always thought of Nick Adams as a douche bag. His handling of this incident has done nothing to change that. He is a publicity whore who has made a mountain out of a mole hill.
I think the bar manager reponding on Nick's blog looks like a douche bag too. He should have just apologized or kept his mouth shut. He definitely has poor PR skills.
Nick is just pissed because someone told him "no" when he's be given carte blanche in the gay community. He's gotten too used to people kissing his ass.

No, Phyl, I've seen more of Nick than I ever care to, thanks. I just have a sense of justice, not cattiness. He is so totally not my type. I didn't even know he had a blog. It would seem by all the posts you've made about him that you're the one obsessed with him.
And Kalimba, darling, I'm sure you will be forever famous in your little BWW pond.

'Um, okay"
Brilliant repartee Phyl.. I'll have to remember that one. Never mind it has nothing to do with the subject at hand but it sounds good, right?

The one who seems to have been REALLY obsessed with Nick is author Ernest Hemingway.

Seriously, he's a D minus-list pseudo "personality" whose name means nothing beyond the bway theater queen crowd.
But I love the indignation that he displays over having to actually adhere to a dress code. How dare they! Do they know that he's NICK ADAMS? He should be allowed to wear whatever he wants, and Turtle Bay would be lucky have him.
So, it must homophobia then! There's just no other explanation.
Douche.

Lol! Me either!
I had to google him. Hence my d minus-list assessment.

Yet another, unnecessary attack on me simply because I disagree with you, Phyl.
Plain as that. You can't have a reasonable discussion, so you start name-calling. What a surprise.

Posted: 8/5/09 at 2:10pmWHY are people fighting here?? This is a serious discussion about homophobia on the East Side! When you fight it just justifies the doormans decision to discriminate against us. This is exactly what people like Harriet Tubman, Che Guevara and yes, now even Nicholas Adams had and have fought their entire lives to stop.

You don't know me well enough to make that assessment, Phyl, unless disagreeing with you is a sufficient diagnosis to designate me as crazy.
You're not worth my time to tattle on. This isn't grade school. I can take some nasty individual saying ugly things about me with having to run to teacher, unlike some of your friends here who can dish it out but can't take it.

"Harriet Tubman, Che Guevara and yes, now even Nicholas Adams"
You have got to be kidding.

No, Q. I'm very serious. Miss Tubman built that railroad from the ground up to help people lead long full lives and escape the cruelty of hatred and bigotry. How is this any different? Seriously, how is Nick's fight to secure the rights and freedoms of the LGBT population ONE BIT different than Harriet Tubmans fight? Nick decided that night to not sit in the back of that bus. He'd danced ALL day and his feets was tired. "Enough is Enough!" he cried out.
And his cry was heard.

Harriet Tubman's struggle is really rather insignificant when you compare it to the trauma that Nick has gone through.
