I knew there was a reason I didn't care for or about Sparks or Jonas.
Excerpt:
The Jonas Brothers singer Nick calls Reagan as his "personal hero", while Sparks adds, "Ronald Reagan's optimism and graciousness is a model for me in my career. I'm honoured to be a part of this leadership committee and give back just a fraction of the blessings I've received."
You just know that they have no idea about Reagan or his politics. They were given those comments to read by their agents who thought that having them associated with a youth committee would be good for their images.
I wonder what Jordin's ITH castmates will have to say to her about this.
Weren't the Jonaseses all into that purity ring movement, too? I'm sure they've been fed (from daddy) the "Saint Reagan single-handedly stopped Communism and tore down the Berlin wall with his bare hands" narrative.
Heck, if all I knew of Reagan was the news coverage after he died, I'd be pushing to get him on the dime, too.
"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter
