We've got a thread going on the Main Board, too. But there can't be enough love for this amazing woman.
Here's a great article in the WSJ: http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2012/06/26/how-nora-ephron-directed-women-to-the-top/?mod=google_news_blog
She was extraordinary. So sad right now...

Posted: 6/26/12 at 8:53pmI'm really saddened by this news. She was a terrific wordsmith, a great wit and a ballsy dame with a twinkle in her eye. Pax!

A sad irony is that the most famous line from all of her films is one she did not write - it was an ad lib...
"I'll have what she's having."

I was never a terribly big fan but I loved her screenplay of SILKWOOD that she wrote with Alice Arlen.
And you gotta hand it to a lady who became an A-list director after age 50.

Ms. Ephron was charming at the AFI salute to Meryl Streep.
"I highly recommend having Meryl Streep play you"

I loved listening to her on the radio on Thanksgiving day giving advice to cooks.
A truly remarkable - in many ways "renaissance" - woman.

Funny that her Dorothy Parker Problem begins Janet Maslin's article in the NYT yesterday.
"When Nora Ephron wrote about her early aspiration to be the only lady at the table, the sharpest wit in the room, she called this her Dorothy Parker problem. The problem was that many other young writers saw Dorothy Parker as their role model, too."

Thank you, and RIP!
