AND THEY WOULD HAVE IF THE OBAMA CAMP HAD LET THEM.
And that is what pisses me off about all this. And, now, that Obama is going to be the nominee, I will say what I have always been saying--this never should have happened and when there was a chance to fix it, it didn't happen.
That doesn't piss me off as a Hillary supporter, it pisses me off as an American and why I can not 100% respect Obama.
But I will support him and give money to him and vote for him.
So, Luscious, have your cake, eat it, and start learning to S.T.F.U.
"Why are you bothering, since, as you pointed out, we're drunks?"
No, not "we're". Just you.
Okay. Sure. I'm so drunk I can hardly form a sentence and I am falling down everywhere.
Is that all you can do, is call me a drunk? Did you learn that from Obama?
My God, why are you allowed to vote?
"AND THEY WOULD HAVE IF THE OBAMA CAMP HAD LET THEM."
What are you referring to in your above statement?
And please don't tell me to learn to S.T.F.U on a thread that I started to celebrate my candidate of choice; not bash yours. You dropped by with your same old Obama vs. Hillary crap. That wasn't my intention in starting this thread. You're obviously the one with a gigantic chip on your shoulder. But, feel free to continue to spew your bile. Because, unlike you, I would never tell you, or anyone else, to learn to S.T.F.U.
Although, admittedly, I've just about had it with TD's banal gibberish.
Why?
Because I don't agree with you?
Don't say that I'm posting while drinking. It just proves you have no clue about what you are talking about
"Don't say that I'm posting while drinking. It just proves you have no clue about what you are talking about "
You prove that with each and every post. Take my advice... USE THE DRINKING EXCUSE! I'm doing you a favor.
I was responding to your claim that Obama leads the popular vote. Debate ensued. Sue me.
And the May 31 comment was my response to your thread and the fact that that statement may not be true come May 31.
And the reason isn't to cheer on Hillary to victory, it's to bring you back to reality.
And what I meant by my statement was that it is ABSOLUTELY Obama and his camp's fault no revotes happened. And that's an issue that still pisses me off.
We just spent 7 1/2 years with a President who most likely was NOT who this country wanted. 7 1/2 years with uncertainty in the result.
I have no problem with Obama winning this race. I have a problem with the uncertainty because of a ****ed up race. I have a huge prob that the candidate winning is the reason it stayed ****ed up.
So, if he can win the popular vote including ALL 57 states and territories as tallied by realclearpolitics.com (Obama leaning btw), I will then and only then be 100% ok with this debacle.
So, is that what you resort to?
Saying someone is drinking, if they don't agree with you.
Pathetic.
Good luck with things!

Although I don't agree with you that Obama and his camp were the sole reason for the revotes not happening in Florida and Michigan, point taken in regard to the "uncertainty" in the current voting process and actual number of votes cast. Nothing would please me more than to see the entire voting process overhauled. After the Bush/Gore fiasco, I thought that was going to happen, or that we would at least start looking at possible ways of improving the system. But that never happened. And it's not even a topic of discussion any more.
Anyway... it's past my bedtime. I can understand your frustration. No hard feelings. Have a good night.
Go pass out.
Here's some bedtime reading material for you, TD. And remember, the first step is admitting you have a problem. Best of luck to you!
Help is out there!
I hope that works out for you.
You need to consider the source diva,
Luscious decided everyone who didn't support Obama was racist.
He's prone to nonsensical assumptions based on nothing.
I don't understand how you can generate a popular vote when some caucus states do not give a popular vote. That is outside of the Michigan/Florida primaries.
And you can blame Obama every day till 2012 for not having revotes in Fl and Michigan but that was not ultimately up to him.
That said I much prefer the "new" Hillary. The woman last night is the woman who should be president. That hawkish "i'm a fighter" thing really does nothing for women or the cause. When she is authentic is shines right through.
"And you can blame Obama every day till 2012 for not having revotes in Fl and Michigan but that was not ultimately up to him."
Actually it was. For the revotes to happen, both candidates had to agree on the conditions under which they would take place. Obama placed conditions that could never be met, so in his extreme passive aggressive way he blocked the revotes. I understand why he did it. If Florida and Michigan revoted, it would have given the popular vote to Hillary, which Obama did not want.
He has a long way to go to get my vote. I don't find him inspiring. I think he is one of the most manipulative politicians I've ever seen. Plus, I think a large portion of his followers (Obamabots) are disgusting little twits.
Lets see who he picks as his running mate. If he doesn't at least offer Hillary the position I may sit this election out.
And you can blame Obama every day till 2012 for not having revotes in Fl and Michigan but that was not ultimately up to him.
Don't be disingenuous. His lawyers blocked the revotes, and you know it.
It was a strategic decision, just as his decision to REMOVE his name from Michigan was. The signed agreement did not mention "removing names from the ballot." He did that because he knew he would lose there. Now he can claim the entire state cannot be counted. Shame, shame on a Democrat hiding behind such a Republican tactic. SHAME!
His "win" involved disenfranchising two swing states. Unless you admit, there can be unity. The committee will meet next week and re-enfranchise them, and it will be a floor vote.
This announcement of a "plurality" is simply spin.
But yes, it was a good speech. The man can deliver great speeches. But can he unite the Democratic Party? Not with supporters like Lush calling people who disagree with her "drunks" in need of 12-step groups.
Marc - you should vote. I would urge you to vote based on the candidates' positions on the issues rather than your opinion of their supporters.
My voting or not voting will have nothing to do with anyones supporters. It will depend entirely on how Obama handles himself during the campaign. So far , I'm not impressed. Like I said, lets see who he asks to be VP. That will say a lot about how sincere he is about uniting the party. I'm already pissed at his blocking the revote in Florida, so he has to earn my vote, I will not automatically give it to him.

Obama has my vote because of the Supreme Court, if for nothing else.
Actually, I am a little late here but I have to give credit where credit is due.
Luscious made a very genuine effort in his first post and even though he and I have had our difference, it showed some class. We need to see more like him if we want to unite the party and win.
Thanks Luscious for doing the same thing. Giving credit where credit is due!
What bothers me is Obama’s lack of experience.
One term as a Senator, and he really didn’t do anything outstanding while in that position.
If this were a job interview, he would never have made it this far.
that's not true diva, he voted "present" on many occasions.
Yes Obama is green, but Hillary voted for the war and she wasn't green.
"Plus, I think a large portion of his followers (Obamabots) are disgusting little twits. "
That's real nice.
And back to the popular vote. Even if Clinton takes Michigan and Florida I don't see how the math adds up in her favor. What about other states without a popular vote?
"Don't be disingenuous. His lawyers blocked the revotes, and you know it."
Florida spoke and did not want a revote. Floridians do not and did not want a privately funded election (thousands said as much). Their elections have been rigged before.
The Michigan Democratic Party also decided against this.
Obama does not and did not have the power to stop this. The reality is that Clinton is the one who was being disingenuous. She only cared about counting these states when she was in trouble.
What's incredible is the margins in both of states. Had Obama and Clinton actually campaigned there that gap would have closed substantially. Undeclared got like 45% of the vote in MI and write-ins were not counted.
"He did that because he knew he would lose there. Now he can claim the entire state cannot be counted. Shame, shame on a Democrat hiding behind such a Republican tactic. SHAME!"
What are you talking about? Clinton used Republican tactics with her fear mongering. Have you been to Detroit? Obama would have gotten at least 45% of the vote in Michigan.
He could still win this election by losing both states. Hillary is losing all fronts.
