As far as keeping health plans, that's the reason I'm caught in the ACA website hell right now. My individual Blue Cross Blue Shield plan has been cancelled, effective this coming December 15th.
Blue Cross Blue Shield offers new ACA plans now, along with two other insurance companies in the state, but the only way for me to apply and receive a tax credit is to go through the ACA's main website. If I apply directly to Blue Cross or any of the others, I can't get the discount. And the difference between $350 per month (or so) and $80 per month, makes it worth the pain an agony.
Still, I'm one of the 20 percent (really? is that all?) who have been forced out of their existing plan.
