I'd like to know who Roscoe would vote for as well. I mean, since Obama is the anti Christ and the worst President (even more so than Bush) and has done NOTHING at all for Gay people and has done NOTHING positive since January 2009, I'd like to know who Roscoe thinks is better? Oh, and don't tell me you simply won't vote because they all suck. That is a coward's answer. Santorum? Romney? Ron Paul? Gingrich? Which one would be better than Obama? Just curious.

Sweetie, I am relaxed. I'm just trying to figure you out,that's all.You sound very angry and bitter and come across as no candidate, Republican,Democrat,Independent, or Green party would please you.So, I just assumed you would sit out 2012 and instead complain.

There is a lot Obama has done that has pissed me off. However, he has done a lot I am proud of as well. I really admire Bill Clinton, but can say the exact same thing. I doubt there has ever been any US President who one person has agreed with on every single thing.Oh, and don't mis-undertand my post. I clearly hear and understand people's frustrations with Obama and think most of it is justified. It just comes down to who would be better? DADT would still be in effect if McCain were President or any Republican President.Just curious if anyone thinks Obama has done ANYTHING right since taking office.

Well Roscoe, I don't disagree with you on everything. Like I said, I understand people's frustrations and hope he can do more in his second term. I just don't see any other alternative. It's either don't vote, vote for Obama, vote 3rd party candidate, or vote Republican. If people decide to sit out 2012 because they are pissed at Obama and he loses then they are gonna be REALLY pissed when the candidate (they actually helped) gets into office.

Actually Goth, Truman ended WWII. Obama ended Bush's illegal war (you fail to mention that one)

So, ending slavery was a bad thing? Oh, and you are giving Democrats credit for that? I always thought you Republicans like to take credit for that(Lincoln did something. He ended something....oh damn, what was it?)

A Democrat started WWII? A think most people would argue and say Japan got us into WWII. We were attacked on December 7th 1941. A Democratic President then took us into war. Goth thinks this is a bad thing. We were attacked on 9/11. A Republican President started an illegal war and Goth thinks that is Okay. A Democratic President ended that war and killed then man responsible, Something Bush, a lazy Terrible Republican President couldn't/Wouldn't do.I guess Goth thinks FDR made a mistake for getting us into war. Goth, you play favorites and cater your thinking around what party can gain from each scenario.AN unfair but typical characteristic Republicans have when viewing history. Simply rewrite it to our advantage so the Democrats look bad and the Republicans look good. Pathetic.

A Democrat initiated DADT (thanks to the GOP Congress) but a Democrat ended it. Goth always gives you 1/2 the story.

War on Poverty? Oh yeah, it's all the Democrats fault. Like the Republicans actually care about poverty. Really Goth? Just look at this year alone and what the Republicans have done. How can you with a straight face even go there?

Civil Rights act. Once again, Goth caters the facts to his advantage. Yes they did Goth. However, as usual, there is more to the story then you let on.

That's not why the Republican party formed and you know that. Yes, the Democrats in the mid-19th century were largely pro-slavery and largely southern.

Though I suppose it'd be disingenuous to bring something that old up, seeing as how the politics of both parties have changed wildly. The Republican and Democratic parties of the 19th century would undoubtedly be shocked at how their parties have changed.

Arguing with Goth is a waste of time. He tows the GOP line no matter what. It's more productive talking to a brick wall.
I do think it's true that it's getting more difficult to tell the difference between the two parties. Because we no longer live in a Republic we live in a Corporate Oligarchy where the elite have all the money and power. I'm convinced that both parties are working to keep this system in place. And why wouldn't they? As the middle class is shrinking our leaders in government have become millionaires. They are reaping the benefits so why do anything to change it?
To me that explains why no real financial reform has come out of the Obama administration. And why all of his financial team comes from Wall Street.
I think the establishment has seen some writing on the wall that makes them nervous. This constitution killing bill that Obama just signed into law certainly helps the establishment keep things just the way they are.

And I think that combo, plus the anti-war contingent, is going to get Ron Paul the nomination. There's a big movement of people registering as Republicans specifically to vote for Paul in the primary. He has the kind of enthusiasm behind him Obama had in '08. And Obama has no one to blame for that but himself.
If he doesn't get the nomination and he runs as a third party candidate, it's going to be a spoiler for Obama, not the GOP like the msm is reporting.
