Off school or work today? Plans?

As I sit here in my pajamas sipping coffee, realizing that I have usually been at work at this point for about three hours, I am wondering what everyone out there is doing with their day off?

work til noon, then gotta make the stuffing, then tomorrow morning I, Steve, his sister and nephew who are visiting will drive (with the stuffing) to Long Beach to spend T-Day with my sister.

Half-day of work, maybe then try TKTS? Anyone know if this is a particularly busy day, attendance wise? Should I expect a good selection, or slim-pickins?

Wait, some people have off today as well? So not fair. I was just counting my blessings because I actually get to be off work and school Thursday-Sunday, something I haven't gotten in a VERY long time. I'm a law runner and even though EVERYTHING is closed on Friday, up until yesterday they still wanted me to come in. So I'm just uber-happy I'm off for four days. But no fair - you guys totally one-up me.

It's already quiet as a mouse in the city.....everyone's gone I guess. I have work tonight, and I'll be making cornbread today while waiting for the delivery of my new old fashioned tv.

We supposedly have a short day, but I have two contracts I have to get out before the holiday, so it will probably be a full day.

It is raining in LA - Drivers beware.

I have off! I'm home in Buffalo, drove across the state last night. Everyone here has to work, but it's great just to be back. Even though the weather isn't very nice. I'm hoping to catch up with old coworkers since most districts still have school today. I'm planning on going in after school. It would be great to catch up!

Sending out one graduate school application, filling out another. Perhaps seeing "Australia" if the weather holds. Hopefully reading some of this fantastic book "Disquiet" that I highly recommend to all who like scary stories.

I did some laundry folding, made mashed sweet potatoes and peanut butter oatmeal cookies, started a paper, watched Pushing Daisies, and my usual tv-couch stuff.
