awwww

That guy singing UnChained Melodies. Oh my god. I almost cried.
The weird girl with the red lipstick singing the Pussycat Dolls, when she sang "Don't wish you're girlfriend was a freak like me." was hysterical. Simon was like "No."
Oh dear. I am loving this.
The extremely tall women: was great.
Blake: spikey haired guy: was great.
Fro guy: great.

The two "circus freaks" scared me.
I wanted to hide and never see that again.

awwww

I knew it was coming when I saw those guys from DELIVERANCE--they really were pretty mean about that and usually I love the mean stuff (sorry best12)--altho the big guy wasn't nearly as bad as he could have been.

The cool thing is, that guy Rudy, with the leather jacket and the buzz cut from Seattle? I used to work with him at a salon and I also saw him in ROCKY HORROR in Westchester--he's actually a well-trained singer although when we saw the show I thought his girlfriend Jennifer was way better was Magenta (he was Riff-Raff).

Why didnt that blonde girl's mom tell her to wear a bra?
She was like Miss Choksondick from South Park.

My family and I were watching last night - my dad just wanted to see the weird blonde girl sing "Don'tcha?" and while the show was going on, we were coming up with nicknames for the contestants. So when the guy with the weird eyes/ears went on, my mom was like "He looks like that creature from The Hobbit." And I was like "Oh, Gollum? Yeah, he does sort of remind me of Gollum." When his friend went in, tried out, and came back out and the two of them left, my dad goes "I know, he looks like a merekat. What's the name of those two characters from The Lion King?" So I go, "Oh! Timon and Pumba!"

That's mean, I suppose, but it's fitting.

Anyways;

Last night was just horrific... but mildly entertaining. Like that really creepy red-haired guy trying to sing "Bohemian Rhapsody". That's not an easy song, I've sang it by myself at a talent show once and it's vocally demanding, but for the love of God -- IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE VOICE, PLEASE DON'T SING THE SONG! I'm not claiming to be the best vocalist in the world, but I know my range. And I certainly would not go into an audition singing a song that does not showcase my talent. Then again, not a lot of these folks seemed to have talent in the first place.

DOODER!!!
Suzanne: I never use catalogs. I'd rather go in the store and see all the salespeople groveling and sucking up to you. Julia: Pardon me, I never knew they were so solicitous at the K-Mart.

Perfectly Marvelous - that's too funny! We called bug eyes and his Hawaiian shirt friend "Gollum and Cartman." Hee hee!

They were actually very sweet in a pathetic sort of way.

Who else thinks that the Seattle guy who couldn't blink and sang UNCHAINED MELODY looked like John Mark Karr's little brother?

My friend called at about 9 last night hysterically laughing because of that guy with red hair. I found the guy who sang Unchained Melodies hilarious. Then Simon said his singing was "inhuman." That was funny. I can't believe how many people sang "Don't Cha" and almost all the people who sang it were unattractive...

Haha, I didn't think of Cartman, but you know - you're right. Both of them weren't all that terrible personality wise... unfortunately that can't be said for most of the contenstants who feel like coping an attitude is the best way to win the judge's hearts.

Although it is entertaining when they get all pissy for being told they're rubbish.

Y'know, Elphaba, I was thinking that bug-eyed guy resembled a lemur too. That or a bush baby. Maybe that's what Simon was trying to get at. I sort of felt bad for the guy, to be honest. His expressions were just hilarious. And I loved it when he told the I'm-going-to-postal-at-any-second dude, "What the bloody hell was that?"

So far I am really unimpressed this season. There have been no truly exceptional people. Seriously on Tuesday's show they must have shown maybe a maximum of 4 serious singers who have potential to make it in the competition over the course of those two hours.

He was embarassing. Completely embarassing. It was uncomfortable. I'm sure he was planted for entertainment value.

I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
