movieinmymind, understandable posting that image since it had a "shout out" to you in it. :) Asking permission is mostly about giving credit where it's due and about doing our best to insure that images aren't misused by anyone. Since Greg's putting his copyright text on the web cam images now, that helps (people don't have to state the copyright info themselves as long as that text is kept on the image); so the main thing past that is to reference that it's from Greg's web site (GregoryJbara.com). But anyway, it's cool ...I hereby dub thee permitted to use that image, per the usual rules.

Catherine ... having myself had an "encounter" or two over many years of doing various web sites, official and non-, from either photographers or their "people" ... when the GFU sites first came up with people using Bill's photo of Greg, I actually checked with him to be sure from the get-go that there wouldn't potentially be any problem. He checked it out and told me he didn't have a problem, that it looked like everyone was just having fun with the photo and that it's also lo-res enough that no one can really do anything with it other than the fan art stuff online (i.e. words, without a high resolution version, no one's going to be able to use it to, say, print Greg tee-shirts to sell, since that would be just wrong, plus they'd look like crap besides.) So anyway, yeah, Bill's a nice guy, and he's cool with fans doing the kind of thing with the headshot pic that you did. I think it's always good to give the photographer credit.
Bill's a young guy and very talented, and Greg and I like to spread the word about him! :)

Aw, I didn't get dubbed though like movie in my mind, thats cool that he's cool( who thinks I can say cool like 10 timesin thispost...) I was just worried that putting a head on the ostrich wouldn't be cool, but if it is cool than thats cool...

...I just can't do it, i'm gonna have to get a lesson on the usage of cool from the wicked "fans" !!

well I can't speak for Bill on every usage of his photo, but since he was cool with the other fan art stuff, I imagine he'd be cool about the ostrich. lol (And I'm sure Greg would just lhao about it.) I'd imagine anything that isn't obscene/porno or illegal as far as this goes is probably okay.

How come no one's submitting their fan art to Greg's very own web site? I added a section for it some time back, and only Mamie and Liz have submitted anything. I've considered taking it down for lack of interest, but maybe it's just a matter of not enough fans knowing about it. So I've tried to "highlight" it on the main page menu a bit more.

Oh sure, fan art can be stuff that's drawn and scanned, or it can be creations made with an image program (Photoshop or whatever). Whatever someone can be creative with is cool!

and Cat ... I dub thee ... permitted to submit fan art created via Photoshop and sans magic lasso. (Where'd you leave it this time, Wonder Woman?)
