Well, there's been lots of talk of Heath on various BBM boards and such but I thought he was wonderful enough that he needed his own thread! (apologies if this has already been posted)

[EDIT:]I decided to kepp Heath's TV apperances listed on this page for anyone who's interested. If you find out about any more just post or PM me and I'll add them.


Oprah will be having a Brokeback Mountain show in the future, presumably featuring Heath and Jake. There is a contest to find the biggest Heath and Jake fans for the audience.

Anyone seen Ten Things I Hate About You? That's where I first fell in love with Heath.

He's gorgeous. And has a wonderful accent.

hee. I've been meaning to see 10 Things... again for a while.

I started hopelessly lusting after him when I saw A Knight's Tale for the first time, because I'm the BIGGEST sucker for guys with accents and longish curly hair (if they wear it properly). That movie is one of my guiltiest pleasures.

Yes, but more of his looks than anything else. I liked him alright in LOTR, but he's kind of like cardboard.

All of Orly's lines in LOTR consist of something along the lines of "This forest is old!" Or, "The enemy is moving!" Heath is a thousand times better!

I agree. Not the greatest actor. But, god, he's beautiful.

Hahaha Atrias. My sister and I laughed about that for ever after The Return of the King. All his lines were completely obvious one-liners like "They're attacking!" when people were running dwon on them with swords.

Atrias I just about died looking at your avatar, Heath is orgasmic! I'm probably going to get blasted for this but I really don't think BBM is Heath's best performance to date. He was AMAZING in it but I really loved him best in The Four Feathers. Has anyone seen the sci-fi show called "Roar" he was on when he was sixteen? One word- shirtless. :)

He was in Melbourne last night (with wife) for the premiere of Brokeback Mountain. He is Australian NOT British. I didn't notice he had an accent. Updated On: 1/10/06 at 11:59 PM

I thought he was British for the LONGEST time, because he plays British in A Knight's Tale, and he sounds British in 10 Things...

I don't think I've actually ever heard his natural accent.

I think theatrebabe was referring to Orlando Bloom's accent when she said British, though, alterego.

Oh sorry I stand corrected. He is originally from Perth Western Australia and made his name here in the tv soap Home and Away.

Is that the show on which he played a gay role? I read that he did on some TV show in one of the Brokeback interviews, and to be honest, I'm surprised that given all the "bravery" talk, there's not more talk about the fact that he's played gay before. But then again, I guess the first time wasn't as... explicit.
