I love that pic, Rachel. The black and white is classic, and he looks rather serious.
What did John say on that TV interview from last week?
Last night I listened to an interview that he gave with Readers Digest back in the Spring (April, I think?), and I loved it. The interviewer picked up on some things that really impress me about JLY/the show, like how focused he/they are during a perfomance and how seamlessly the boys go from narrating the story to singing, etc. And John is very well spoken. Great interview. :)
And herein I've done my duty to rescue this thread from the bottom of p. 1, hehehe.

Kathryn, I really hope you're able to go see Jersey Boys!
Does anybody know when the b/w photos were taken? Like the one Rachel posted?
I have to say that I originally didn't find him all that attractive, especially when comparing him to the other Jersey Boys, but seeing him at Broadway Bares in few clothes, I've had a change of heart. He's got a great body.
So...anyone tape the Boys singing the National Anthem? *crosses fingers* I really want to see it.
kaibranch-I'm not sure when those photos were taken, but apparently JLY was in a film directed by Phil Aceto (who's credited with the black and white photos) called The Roman Soldier, so maybe they were promo shots or something...? I'm not really sure, I tried Googling the movie but nothing really came up.
Hi pianoman215 and welcome to the thread. :) I would have loved to have seen the boys in broadway bares. At least I've seen pictures (good excuse to look at them again).
Rachel, I was able to tune in to the Yankees game last night through satellite TV BUT I didn't see the performance. The commentators kept talking before the game (grrr...) and then when the commercials ended the game started. Makes me mad. Hopefully we'll hear more about the experience, and see a picture or two.
A.
I have been looking for pictures of the game all morning but I haven't found any, maybe someone will have some later today.

As far as I know, they don't usually broadcast the national anthem on television. Only on special ocassions like the World Series or All Star games. While I don't usually tune into the games until the 5th inning or so, I watched the whole game with my mom (pregame too) and no Jersey Boys. I'm pretty sure there will be photos floating around online soon.

Hm, I'd love to see some pictures of when they performed the National Anthem, if there are any.
Kathryn, good luck with your job!
Hope you get to see the show; you're such a supportive fan that it seems unfair somehow that you haven't!
That is so true! You really deserve to see it and I hope you get to!
Just got back from seeing the show with my mom and sister (THEY LOVED IT). Talked to John for a little while after the show. He had a few problems during the first couple songs hitting the high falsettos, but was pretty impressive for being so sick just a little bit ago. He did tell me that he would be out of tomorrow's matinee in case anyone was going.
Did anyone catch the rerun of ER on TNT with Christian Hoff today? It was quite funny...

Would that mean John would be in for this evening's performance? I'm rushing for the night show today =D
Good luck with the rushing, smashingasian! And I assume that means John will be in tonight. :0)
smashing...he will be in tonights performance...he's just cutting out one show a week until he feels 100%
On ER, Christian was a med student at the Halloween party that Lucy lets get outta hand. He has a few lines, and he is dressed in a gold sparkly dress the entire time. I love that man!! LOL.
I just got a card back from John!!! He's so sweet! So excited right now!!
(please excuse my excessive use of the exclamation point, I'm just soo happy right now. hehe.)
That's so fun Rachel!!
Anyone up for rushing next Thursday the 24th? I will be there no matter what and was wondering if anyone wanted to join me?

Okay, so I'm back home. No rush for me today. Thank goodness I live 5 minutes from New York City. The rush policy has been changed.
My mom, sister, and I went to the box office at about 10:30 or so, and we sat there behind some people for maybe 5 or 10 minutes. When the girl in front of me told me that she was in line for standing room I was surprised because I had thought that she was in line for rush. My mom talked to the guy who's in charge of the rush lines and whatnot and told us that the box office is now selling rush tickets for both performances at 10:00. Which means, for two day shows, the box office will sell tickets promptly when it opens. Wake up very early people.
If I get some of my facts wrong please don't shoot the messenger. This is all coming from my mom, who got the info from the guy at the theatre.
Since I live a couple of minutes from NYC, I'll probably hit rush in a couple of days. Instead I watched "Little Miss Sunshine" which was by far one the funniest movies I've ever seen!
EDIT: I also forgot to add that the new policy started just yesterday.
STUDENT RUSH POLICY - Subject to availability, rush tickets are sold at the box office on the day of the performance to any student who holds a valid ID as well as a valid government issue ID. Tickets are $26.25 and 2 are available per person, per calendar month. Tickets go on sale when the box office opens. Effective beginning Tuesday, August 15.

Awww I'd love to go with you philosophy, but I start marching band camp that day =[
damn...lol...well at least I won't have to wait in line for hours upon hours. I guess I have to get to the theatre by like 630 now though...yikes!!
I'm gonna post that rush info on the main page too...since there are always so many questions about it.
