About 90% of that fan list relates to me, lol. I don't almost cry if an actor is out though (unless it's one I really wanted to see afterwards). The understudies in that show are so fantastic.

Another story: my mom's a realtor, and there are two realtors at her company named Sherry and Dawn. I kind of freaked out. A couple of days later, a client called my mom, and her name was Marianne. I freaked out some more :).

Rachel, that's so great about Daniel! He is such a sweet guy, and it always makes me so happy to see him. He appreciates the fans of JBz and his fans so much. I wish I could go support him at his show!

Kathryn, that's a great idea :). Try it! You have to at least meet the guys - I'm sure they'll shower you with hugs when they finally meet you.

BTW, new_philosophy_girl, where'd you get that pic of Daniel's shirt, lol? I remember him wearing it at DQYNJ. It was a very odd yellow outfit!

On another note...do we know who's definetely extending/not extending their contracts come this October? I know there's been a lot of talk about JLY, but I was wondering about Daniel, Christian, and Bobby as well.

Rachel I'm so happy you got to meet Daniel! I'm so jealous! I'm not sure about the contracts though. I'm really hoping that at least one of the original guys will stay so maybe I'll get to see it with someone from the OBC.

Racheal none of the guys have said anything about leaving, I will pots on myspace when they do and I am sure that Elle will post on big men in town and it will be posted on the jersey boys blog, so dont worry, you will find out when they say.

Wow, what are the odds on that? That is totally freaky (but in a cool way).

After reading smashingasian's post, I have "Dawn" playing in my head. :) I too hope everyone is in tonight for you!

Rachel, I am so happy that you got to meet Daniel! He sounds so sweet. I loved what you wrote about him and taking his time with the picture.

A quote that he had in an interview with the JB Blog really got to me, when he said that although the awards were amazing, that performing was really what made him happy. And that he knew that every day different people come to see the show and they all work so hard to make it a great experience for the audience.

I hope at least some of these four stay--I *love* them and their chemistry is insanely magical--for a little while longer. (This is making me start singing "Stay"). I would also love for them to take a break if they must, but to open the show in London (since there's been talk about that). Like what Idina's doing with Wicked. That would be awesome!

I read that "You know you're a JB fan" list thinking "I do that... I do that, too... OMG! How did they know I do that?"

Haha, Rachel, that's awesome! You're allowed to gush when it's Daniel you run into. Oh, could I share my story? The second time I saw JB, Daniel remembered me and was sweet at the stage door. Later, after I got another photo with Christian, I turned and started walking away when somebody bumps into me from behind. He walks ahead of me, turns around, and it's Daniel! He puts his hand up and says, "sorry, babe!" and I'm like "It's okay!". Okay, maybe my story isn't as awesome as Rachel's, but... Daniel is so sweet!

Smashing, waiting in line for 4 hours is sooo worth it. When I'm in the theatre I always think about how that morning I was sitting outside the theatre, and now I'm about to watch this amazing show!

You know i would so love to stand in line for 4 hours, my mom thinks I am weird because I would but I told that is part of the fun of seeing the show, so maybe one of these days I will get to stand in line for 4 hour with one of you guys!!!

My mom used to rush every day when she was my age for a show Al Pacino was once in, so luckily, she understands :).

My last time at the show, I asked Christian, Dan, and JLY if they'd be extending. They all say that they really want to stay (I was surprised when JLY said that because I really thought he'd be leaving). I asked Daniel if he'd be around for my birthday, and he said if he didn't extend for another year, he'd most likely extend for a little bit longer. It's really all up to the producers. Here's to hoping that they get a good deal :)!

Well, I'm sure the producers know what an amazing thing they have going with the four leads that they have now, so hopefully they'll be able to work something out, even if, as Daniel said, it's not for another whole year. If they extend just a little longer it would be great, and give those of us who haven't seen the show yet more of a chance of seeing these amazing guys. Thanks for the info, popular_elphie!

elphie...Daniel was wearing that shirt after the show on Tuesday. It was cute and my sister and I and him had a long discussion about middle school gym classes.


I figured I had to show some Daniel love since his shows are this weekend...

Oh yes. At the stagedoor on Tuesday he asked if I was going to the pub, and my mom (this is why I love her), she was like "what are you two doing, going out for dinner or something?".

I'm more scared then excited. You have never seen a show with broadwaybetty. I may have to sedate her at some point.

new philosophy girl, LOL about your mom's response to Daniel's question and about broadway betty's enthusiasm. :) Gotta love her for it! Could you remember to tell us what he sings at the show and all other delicious details?

The sad part is is that it's true (about my betty). When I told Daniel that indeed both myself and Caroline (bettys real name) would be there, he was like "good, I would be disappointed if you weren't"...then I said something about having to sedate her and he laughed and was like, "I could help"...which would only make things worse. She's quite obssessed with Daniel. I LOVE HER FOR THAT THOUGH (in case she's reading )

I love that he offered to "help" sedate her, that is too funny/cute! I got to "know" Caroline through the Norbert love thread mainly, and then through being fans of Piazza as well. I hope she can make a comeback to BWW sometime.

It is equally adorable that he said he would be disappointed if you all couldn't make it. Man, you are going to have the greatest time!

Did your mom have a favorite part/song from seeing Jersey Boys?

Have any of you seen Home Alone? I just wacthed it and Joe Pesci is in it, he was also in a movie were he played Tommy DeVito, just thought I would tell you all that.

Joe Pesci played Tommy DeVito? LOL! I love the story Rick Elice told at Christian's MySpace, about him being very mad they made him look so dumb in the show.

I think if Daniel tried to calm me down I would just get more excited :). I wish someone (or maybe even him) would video tape or record the show or something - someone should talk to Daniel about it! LOL.

I'm still going to say it: I wish I could be there! I keep replaying in my mind when Daniel told me that he was so sad that I can't make it, and that makes me smile :).

Reporting back from tonight's performance. Well... yesterdays. I got to see the full cast! It was a great show, and for me it was even better seeing it the second time around! Waiting the 4 hours for rush was totally worth it.

My parents dropped my sister and I off at the theatre so they could go find a parking spot. I don't know how long my sister and I waited until they showed up, but I was able to get a peek at the call board to see if the main boys were out, and.... they weren't! I was very excited and couldn't wait to get to my seat. While standing on the sidewalk, guess who I see strolling to the stage door, Daniel Reichard! At first I didn't know it was him because of his glasses then when he went in it hit me. Finally my parents showed up and we went in and got situated. The entire show was great. Cast and everything. I always get a kick out of the older women in the audience mouthing the lyrics and dancing in their seats.

John did really well considering how sick he was last week. His high notes were a little shaky, but none the less he was great. When he made his entrance he got a big applause from the audience and when he sat on the staircase... I was just like... "Whoa, JLY is right in front of me." I stagedoored and met all four of the guys who were extremely nice to everyone. They all made sure to autograph everyones playbills, posters, etc. and take pictures. I don't think I've ever met actors as gracious as these guys. The guard was saying that they loved doing this and it was their favorite part (besides acting of course haha). I also met Michael, and when I told him that he was my first "Frankie" he had the biggest smile on his face and said he was glad that I enjoyed his performance. I got pictures with all of them and maybe I'll post them tomorrow when I upload them.

The best part for me, besides meeting the boys was that John and Daniel recognized me from the front row! I was sitting in A2 next to my sister and parents. They were both like "I saw you sitting in the front row!" I actually don't remember what I said, I'm pretty sure I was gushing haha. That seriously made my summer. I loved how Jennifer Naimo announced, "He's coming, he's coming guys!" and everyone cheered. Then before I knew it I was blinded by flashbulbs and screaming old ladies. In all, today was one hell of a smashing day. Well worth the wait =]

I'm so glad you got to see John as Frankie this time! I think it's funny and kind of cool that they remembered you from your seat! It's great that you had an amzing time.

That was a great review and I really enjoyed reading it.
