I'd love to rush for Jersey Boys. Too bad I live in Delaware. It really sucks living here sometimes.
Well this new rush is going to make it so I cant got to the show, oh well maybe nest year.
I'm with you, Kathryn. This new rush policy makes me sad. I mean, unless I went on a school day (meaning I'd have to skip school, which would probably not happen) I probably wouldn't have any chance of getting tix, seeing as I'd be coming up from MA, and on a Saturday I assume that it would be awful trying to rush.

So you have to wake up ealier now? Well, I guess that doesn't mean much for me since I won't be able to do rush anytime soon [I'm on the wrong coast!], but that sucks for you guys who wanted to do rush sometime. Well, good luck to anyone who does it later!
I guess that means another schedule will have to be made. I wonder how this will affect the craziness of JB rush.
Hey all, I got woken up about a half hour ago and found out I'm going into the city today! I know there's no chance of getting SRO tickets since we won't be getting there until probably 12:30-1:00ish, but I'll probably try to at least meet the Boys after the show. I think we're gonna go see The Wedding Singer (which I'm very excited about!), then RUN over to the August Wilson to try to catch at least a few of them. Do you think I'll have a shot?
Rachel...you may have a chance. Some of the boys (Bobby especially) come out right away. But JLY takes at least 20 minutes because he does vocal exercises to cool his voice down right after the show, so you will probably see them. GOOD LUCK!!

Good luck with meeting the boys Rachel! Have fun in the city =]
At first I was somewhat miffed with the new policy but I guess it's for the better. I just have to wake up at the crack of dawn to go to the city. I'll sacrifice sleep for a ticket hahaha
Best of luck, Rachel, hope it works out and have a great time! :)
In case you hadn't seen it, John updated his blog Tuesday with a funny clip from Youtube. I wonder if the fans on video would think it's cool that John saw them dancing to the Jersey Boys?

Hahahaha I remember that video from a long time ago! I'm not surprised John goes on youtube.com. Heck, I'm guilty of doing the same thing... *whistles* ... except I'm actually a dancer.
I hope the people knew, I mean how would you feel if one day you go on to a actors web site and there is a link to your video. I think it is really funny, not the video so much but that John posted it!
oop's forgot to tell you all this.
I sent Jennifer Naimo a playbill that John, Christian, Daniel and Bobby singed and asked her if her and the rest of the girls would sing it and they did!! she all sent me a sweet note. I may post a picture of the playbill later.
Back from Florida! Is it weird to say that I missed posting in this thread? I kept seeing JBz signs everywhere - there's a "John Young Parkway" in Florida, and we were behind a truck that said, "Four Seasons House Cleaning". Everything reverts back to Jersey Boys!
And Kathryn, congrats on the job, and I hope you get to see the show! Also, that's so sweet what Jennifer did. She's such a great girl.
Elle, where in Florida were you? I was on vacation near Orlando about a week ago. Luckily I was still able to post on this thread...I know what you mean about missing it. :)
I watched part of Dirty Dancing the other day and went into JB reveries when "Big Girls Don't Cry" is played on the radio in the movie.
Kathryn, awesome news about Jennifer. :) The cast is so amazing, not only in how talented they are but also in how receptive they are to us fans.

This is from his August 6th blog (I'm sure everyone's read it, but I thought it was cute)
"...and so can cause candida (not the play by G.B. Shaw, not our neighbor to the north: look it up, it's gross)"
hahaha.
E is for Emily: Yeah, I loved that entry. John has a cool sense of humor, as evidenced by his blog and some of Tony day pictures!
Anyone on this thread going to Daniel's show this weekend? Have a great time!! (And I'll look forward to reading about it).
A.
I will be going on Monday...I seriously cannot wait!! I went to his show in Keansburg, NJ back in April and he sang Moon River and I decided right there and then that I wanted his version of that song to be my wedding song.
"...and so can cause candida (not the play by G.B. Shaw, not our neighbor to the north: look it up, it's gross)"
I thought that was really funny!
Ok there is this guy Josh, he runs a jersey boys group on myspace, he is on here also but i cant remember is user name for the life of me, anyway some one started a you know you are a jersey boys fan when.... I thought I would post some of the things people have said.
You know your a jersey boys fan when your wiling to stand 5 hours for tickets
When you go to a baseball game and a player walks, you start singing "Walk Like A Man"
You hope to meet someone named Sherry, Dawn, or Marianne
You want your name to be Sherry, Dawn, or Marianne
You constantly quote Jersey Boys
You start acting like Tommy DeVito in Jersey Boys
You start talking in a heavy, Italian accent
When someone asks you who are your favorite actors, you reply John Lloyd Young, Christian Hoff, Daniel Reichard, J.Robert Spencer, and Michael Longoria and you get nothing but blank, clueless stares from everyone around you.
For no apparent reason, you start to sing Ces Soirees La
When your sister/girlfriend/cousin/wife starts to cry, you tell them Big Girls Don't Cry
After a night of heavy partying, you start singing "Oh What A Night"
You want John Lloyd Young to sing "Can't Take My Eyes Off You" at your wedding
Someone asks where you were and you say "Oh me, oh my-o, did some time in old Ohio."
You refer to Breakings and Enterings as B's and E's
Everytime you pass a prison, you say there's a revolving door on that place
You pass Rahway Prison and you call it Rahway University of the Arts or whatever Tommy calls it in Jersey Boys
You're willing to spend up to 5 hours waiting in the blistering heat or the freezing cold just for student rush tickets to Jersey Boys
You cry when you find out John, Daniel, Christian, and Bobby are all out
Aww, have fun new philosophy girl! Is broadway betty and some other BWWers going also?
Daniel sings Moon River? That would seriously make me melt.
Kathryn, this list is great! It would probably make John and the boys laugh.
I do feel sad if I hear that one of the boys is out sick or something, like John was recently. And at least on one occasion recently, I said something like, "My hand to God..." just like Tommy DeVito.
Two more to add: You know you're a Jersey Boys fan when...
--you dance along to the Jersey Boys
--you videotape yourself dancing and broadcast it on youtube for the world to see!
--You google "T.S. Eliot" and the "objective correlative" to get a better idea of what Bob Gaudio/Daniel is talking about.
Thanks alej!! Yes, Miss Broadway Betty is going with me, along with broadwayboobs and bdwaygirl and some others. It should be a GREAT time!! And I say, "my hand to God" all the time. When my mom finally saw the show on Tuesday with me, she was like, "now I get why you always say that!"

That was so sweet of Jennifer, Kathryn! She seems really nice.
And good luck Rachel! I hope you do get to meet some of the Boys.
And have a ton fun at Daniel's concert new_philosophy_girl!

Warning: Long post ahead!
Ok, so things didn't work out exactly as I'd planned. My mom's boyfriend Sean took me, and we got tickets for the Wedding Singer (which was great by the way!). But during/after the show Sean wasn't feeling very well, and we still had a four hour drive ahead of us so I didn't want to hold him up anymore since he was nice enough to take me in the first place. So I ended up not stagedooring JB, but the good news is that I saw Daniel before the show! We were walking down W. 52nd St. and as we approached the theater I saw 3 people talking outside of the stage door. We got closer, and I was like "Wait a minute...it's Daniel!" (the other two I didn't know). So we waited a few minutes off to the side and when he was done talking and about to go in I stopped him and asked for a picture. He was very sweet and gracious. He was all "Oh! Sure, sure I look horrible, but..." (of course he didn't though. ). Then he suggested we move and take it in front of the Jersey Boys sign, which was great. We talked for a minute or two before he had to go in and I wished him luck on the Joe's Pub shows. I think that was my favorite experience with a performer so far. He was just so nice, and even though it was a small thing, I thought the JB sign thing was very sweet since he could have just been like "oh yeah, sure", and just taken the picture and been done with it. Very genuine and appreciative person (and I know he looks great in all the pictures that he takes, but he really does look even better in person
). Overall it was a great night. I'm just very happy that I got to go into the city at all.
Thanks for reading guys, and sorry again about the length of the post...I had a lot of Daniel-gushing to let out. heh. I'll be putting the picture on my Myspace for those of you who I'm friends with on there, and maybe I'll get around to posting it on here eventually. :0)

Aww...that's awesome Rachel!!! I'm glad you got to meet Daniel. He's such a sweetheart.
I love long posts about the jersey boys, I was telling someone that when this all over us fans need to write a book about, maybe out this thread in it, them we could show it to are kids. I really think I am losing my mind.

Ahhh I love Daniel, he's so awesome! I did rush this morning and got tickets. I'm crossing my fingers that everyone is in today *crosses fingers*
I have another one for the "you know you're a JB fan when..."
- When washing dishes with "Dawn" dishwashing soap, you suddenly burst into song. (I was listening to my ipod while doing the dishes and as I was holding the bottle, "Dawn" came on and I looked at the plastic in my hand and started randomly singing... chyeahh man I'm weird)
Ok so I am not going to see Jersey Boys, but I had this great idea, why not go to NYC for a school tour! I am home schooled so I could do it, and the day we get there i can go to the jersey boys stage door, i was so proud of myself for coming up with this, I will still get to meet the guys but it wont cost as much and I will be doing something for school at the same time.
