One more thing, so if you watch the CBS broadcast will you still see the whole parade? (Stupid question, I know! sorry!)
Hey everyone! Shannon left me a message on my myspace page and she posted "How is John Lloyd Young before me one your friends list? That's messed up..JK!" I have my reasons why, if you know what I mean! But I'm here ALL the way through Sunday! I'm so happy! Also I got my interums for 2nd quater and I made a 100, 97 ,87 ,87 ,and an 83. I'm so happy!
I can't believe that we're over 2000 post!
My cousin Jen and the baby are here! Also they're gonna stay for a little while! That means I will be seeing alot of Dilly! yay!
Thats great Kristina Great job!!
Sorry guys I have been MIA lately. I was on vacation last week from work, I didn't go anywhere special just NYC for the day. Lots of cleaning and errands got a lot of things done that I needed to do.
Well, I have a story to tell you my family and I went to my cousin Tina's wedding in NY on Saturday night which was a blast! We were supposed to go to my cousin's Christining on Sunday in NY, but we got a call on Sunday morning at the hotel we stayed MY DAD'S STORE GOT BROKEN INTO !!!!!!!!!!!!! So we had to go back home to NJ. I'm really upset now that some stupid morons wrecked almost everything in the store. Also, the stupid people, basically DAMAGED MORE THINGS IN THE STORE THEN THEY STOLE! Yeah I know it doesn't make any sense. Let's just say people have nothing better to do!!!!!
I feel so bad for my Dad right now, he is still upset. My whole family is
Ok. I'm reading a book called The Summer of the Swans. John was in a play based on that book! And if any of you have read it and you pictured John as Charlie during the scene with the dogs, you would've felt sorry for him. I did. It was so sad. *sniff sniff*

Lori- I hope they catch the people who wrecked the store.
Does anybody know if the Thanksgiving Day parade will be on cbs? (haha ragdoll! hooray for us)
I looked on John's myspace and I'm on his Top 24! *does a happy dance* and Shannon's not! ha ha!
Well, right now, I'm taking care of the baby and it's hard! But I just think of John, it makes it easier for me!

I'm gonna have to tape it. There is no way I'm getting up at 6:30. If only I was on the east coast.
On the main board there is a topic about a JB's movie musical......
John updated his Blog.
Looking forward to seeing the Boys on the parade tomorrow! We usually watch the NBC coverage at my house, but maybe this year we'll have CBS on for a bit at 9:30 .
On another note, at about 2:45 a.m. there was an explosion at a chemical plant in my town today! It was incredibly scary...it's been on the news all day and people are saying that they could even hear it from parts of NH (and we're in MA). An interesting way to be woken up in the middle of the night, heh. Miraculously though, there have been no fatalities or even serious injuries, which is good. Plus, there was no school for our town today either.
I'll be gone tonight because I'm gonna see CATS. So.....I hope I'll have a great time!
Yes Kathryn! You should post it!
I couldn't wear this cool shirt because I have alot of chest. If you know what I mean. Plus it's see through. So I'm stuck dressing up like a Grandma ,but my mom and sister are going to looks younger than me! grrrrr.
Never mind, we found something cool.
okey dokey I will after this post.
Kristina, I have learned as I have gotten older that you can wear almost anything and still make it look good, some things that I thought looked like something my grandma would were are now cute to me, they are tons of ways you can make things looks cute. Even how you were your hair can make what you wear look better. I have also learned not to go with what everyone else is going or wearing, you wear what you want to wear no matter what people think. that kind of sounds weird but I am sure you know what I mean.
Here you go!

Do you feel a weight on your shoulders having to compare to the Tony winning cast?
There is a definitely a bit of pressure to live up to the amazing work that the Broadway cast puts out there every night. On the other hand, the New York cast and the creative team have made it clear to us that we are all part of the same "Jersey Boys family", so we feel alot of support, as if we're standing on the shoulders of giants as opposed to being squashed by them!
Who inspired you to be a actor?
My family is very theatrical. My mom did theater throughout my childhood at a great company in Hartford, CT and I'd see her doing Neil Simon shows and all other sorts of work. In addition, my older sisters did a bunch of community theater that I would watch as a little guy and just totally be enamored with. There was also one particular director I worked with in community theater that made the process so fun and rewarding that I knew "this was what I wanted to do".
How rigoruous was the auditioning process for the show?
I had gotten a few callbacks for the original Broadway production but it didn't work out. Months later I went to a chorus call (an open audition for union members), sang for Ron Melrose (the show's musical director) and got the sense he was definitely interested. I was called back several weeks later, sang for Des and Ron, got called back the next day, read some scenes and sang my same song for at least 15 new people (including Frankie Vallie and Bob Gaudio, yikes!), danced on a Friday, and got the call Monday! All in all, a somewhat speedy process.
Have you seen the show on broadway?
Yes, I've seen the show in New York several times.
If so what think or feel the first time you saw it?
I just remember being surprised at how affected I was when the Four Seasons finally "hit" with Sherry and I was really floored by the audience response. I had never seen standing ovations in the middle of a first act! I also remember being blown away by the performances, the great book by Elice and Brickman, and particularly the sound design. I had never heard a show sound so great since (what a coincidence), Des's production of TOMMY years before. I also remember being blown away by the vitality and excitement of music that I had usually dismissed as "oldies music".
Did you see Jersey Boys before you were cast or after?
Both. I saw it a few times before I was cast and became sort of obsessed with it. I TiVo'd the cast's amazing performance on the Tony's and would watch it constantly. It was quite surreal when we actually started choreographing "Who Loves You" in rehearsal. I was actually IN the number instead of watching it with a TiVo remote in my hand!
why did you want to be in the Jersey Boys Tour?
My first answer is easy-EMPLOYMENT! Every actor wants to work and make a living doing what they love. But to be part of a really wonderful piece of theater that connects with people so strongly...it really doesn't get better than that!

No I didnt but that it isn't to late, I will have to send him that, thanks elle.
Hi everyone!
Kathryn, that interview is fantastic! Thank you for posting.
HEROES is a show that I've only seen once. Not because I didn't like it, but b/c it airs on a night that I'm usually in class, so I've fallen behind. But I love the character of Hiro. It's neat that JLY has that connection-friendship from his college days!
If there is a JERSEY BOYS movie, I really want the Broadway OBC in it.
Happy Thanksgiving, all! I will try to post more next week. I feel like I haven't been around as much lately....
