Very very glad you searched greeneye
And all of that was speculation on our parts--from my understanding, no one at least on here who has said anything knows the exact date.

I've finally got to chime in on this love thread, too.
I was at the show tonight (where more chaos than usual ensued), and posted a rather lengthy review in the Greg Love Thread.
I've gotten really lucky to have caught Norbert each time I've seen the show (3 times), and he just gets better and better each time. He had so much energy during "Great Big Stuff" that it almost seemed manic! You could tell he was completely drained afterwards that there was no way he was giving a line anytime soon. It's amazing to see someone pour 110% into every performance- and making each one unique.
There were a few prop mishaps tonight, and more than a few giggles from the cast (especially Jonathan!), but it was the best performance I've seen yet.
This show is like a fine wine- better and better with age.
And Norbert continues to blow my mind. So freakin' talented. I was lucky enough to be at the NJ event (I'm a local), and it was then that I realized he could make the phone book interesting. Broadway is gonna miss him.

I'm so sad that this thread can't seem to live.
Nice review starletta, by the way.

I know! I'm sick for a couple days and I had to go back so many threads just to find this.

YES!
I've been playing Last 5 Years all day today. I must say that Nobody Needs To Know is one of the most beautiful and heart wrenching songs in theatre history.
my favorite song right now (EVER) is If I Didn't Believe In You. the most increible song. I think the lyric do it for me.

That's a really good song too. All his songs in L5Y are amazing, though. That whole cd is amazing, who am I kidding?
I second (or third) the awe of L5Y. I love Shiska Goddess for its silliness and Nobody Needs to Know makes me cry.
Just for the sake of keeping the thread alive- What other musical theater roles would you like to see Norbert try?
I absolutely LOVE Nobody Needs to Know...but the fact that he isn't singing it to Cathy kind of kills me a bit.
Keep it up Sara! Though I think maybe we should start a new thread and call it the NLB Appreciation Thread. I know you girls LOVE Norbert but I (and other guys) only admire and respect him and his work deeply, and would not switch sides for him lol.
Oh and the first NLB Online Chat is scheduled for Monday May 7th at the moment. I will alert Norbert about it but whether he comes or not remains to be seen. In all honesty, I rather have the chat to be a chance for fans to talk to each other than oogle and ask odd questions of Norbert.

I'm all for changing the name of the thread to NLB Appreciation Thread. I think it makes it more classy? I don't know. I just woke up, people! If I don't make sense just ignore me.
I will be at that chat. I'm always up to talking to other fans and I bet we could have a lot of fun. Count me in!
I would like to see Norbert in another role like L5Y. I mean, cute, funny, but can get serious when he needs to. That is the sort of guy that I want. without the affair part.

I love Norbert. And I have know idea what other roles he should try, and I don't care, because he can do anything. As long as he's acting, I'm happy.

I really like Norbert in the comedic roles but I would like him to see him play a serious character. He can do pretty much anything though.
I really love your avatar picture broadwaybaby221!
Well I mean if you think about it Norbert was trained with Shakespeare companies, such as the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. He's more than capable of playing a serious role...but it all depends on what he wants. He even said in an interview prior to getting cast in DRS that he never gets cast in comedic roles and that "[he's] funny, damnit!" So it's all up to what he wants...and he seems to be drawn to the comedic roles lately. Why else would he sign on to a sitcom? But I'm sure that when, I hate to say it, the sitcom inevitably fails...he will come back, and either (what I'm hoping) sign on to do the High Fidelity musical...or just headline something totally new...but it's all up in the air.

I knew that he did Shakespeare and that's not easy for any actor. It's not even easy if you're used to it. That's what I really started doing as an actress and it's extremely difficult.
Anyway, I really do like him in the comedic roles, though. I really hope the sitcom doesn't fail but I guess I shouldn't be expecting too much. Oh well.
Is it mean that I hope it does just so that he can get his butt back on Broadway as quickly as possible?

No because I'm thinking the same thing. I really want the sitcom to take off but I really want him to stay on Broadway. I'm so torn. Haha.
I don't want him to all of a sudden get an even more insane fan base due to a great sitcom...then I'd just be sitting there saying "I've liked him for years now!" Well...I guess if that happens he'll still be the same, and I'll be a webmaster on his official website! Buahaha.

I think it would be good for him to get a bigger fanbase but if we're talking a bigger fanbase, like the Rent movie got or Wicked is slowly getting as it tours the country, then I hope it fails. Not saying that those fans are all... never mind. I should have just stopped a while ago.
I know what you mean...and I agree. . But I mean...sitcoms are dying in general...and there's always the downside of his failing. "Ew, you like the guy from that crappy sitcom?"
