No problem. This is better than having my music on random. Good song choices, by the way. I love Cabaret.

cool! here's the list:

The Scarlet Pimpernel -The Scarlet Pimpernel
For Good -Wicked
Dangerous Game -Jekyll and Hyde
Jolly Holiday -Mary Poppins
Holding on for a Hero -Footloose
Don't Look Now -Sweet Smell of Success
Nobody Needs to Know -Last 5 Years
All About Ruprecht -DRS

weird, cause the pimpernel song reminds me of FA Scwartz theme song. no idea why. haha.

Oh awesome. I don't have Sweeney either and would love to hear it.

But yeah, I love Footloose. I'm actually surprised I haven't changed my avatar to Footloose yet. Now I want to do that. But anyway, looking forward to some Norbert at the end.

yay you did change it!

I've met Billy Hartung. he is awesome. Friend of my old middle school teacher. he told us a story of when he entered on with his motorcycle and when he swung it around to face the audience, the engine part of it flew off into the wings. he went on with the scene and when he was suppose to exit, the sound guys make the engine roaring sound cue which was stupid casue the audience had just seen the engine go off into the wings. funny story.

oo, another story. He was trying out for a muscal ( i think it was damn yankees) and he made it down to the last like 10 guys and they were all asked if they could do a sort of gynastic routine. and, not wanting to be cut right then and there, Billy said yeah, when her really couldn't. When it came to him, he made up something and tried his best. I think he said he had never tried anything harder than that. when he finished, the casting people went down the line again, asking for them to try another one. when they got to Billy, they said he didn't have to do it. he was happy, but knew that was bad. just like he thought, he didn't get the part.

I guess you had to be there listening to him tell it.

Billy is my teacher! I'm not even kidding. I love him, he's so awesome and it'a great to know someone who actually knows who he is.

Those stories are so AWESOME. I have a few I could tell you.

He was recently in a show in Pittsburgh, where I live, called Hearts Are Wild, and he played 7 characters. One of those characters was a woman and so on his last night of the show his daughters, who are ADORABLE, painted his toe nails red. And they told him that daddy needed to look pretty if he was playing a woman.

So I was looking at pictures of Norbert and Michelle today and they are, in my opinion, the most adorable Broadway couple.

Agree or disagree?

I'm sorry if this has already come up on this thread but I couldn't read through all 199 pages of this.

How long did Norbert appear in Wicked? Maybe it's just me but it seems that he was only there for a short time.

Last 5 Years is amazing and my favorite cast recording that Norbert is on. Listening to Thou Shalt Not was amazing though. I really love the songs a lot.

To answer smiles question, Norbert was with Wicked for 9 months. Norbert doesn't like to stay with shows too long though, which is why everyone was surprised when he renewed his contract for DRS. Hope that helps!

It may have seemed that Norb was in Wicked less cos he hurt his back and had to have surgery & was out a few months w that (Taye covered I believe)

I think for a good part of the time he was out, his understudy Kris Cusick (I'm almost positive that's how you spell his name... either way, he's amazing) covered for him, and Taye came in sometime around Christmas. I'm almost sure about that.

On that note... Hi, I love Norbert Leo Butz. He owns my heart. <3

Behind- you're right. Norbert was injured during his run. I think it was a back problem but if I'm wrong someone please correct me. And yes, Kristopher Cusik who is now in the Chicago cast of Wicked playing Fiyero.

And Behind, welcome to our little corner of the internet. Good to have you here.

Thank you! Norbert was my first Broadway love. "Dancing Through Life" secured my love, and I'll always be grateful to him for that. Because then I went out and got L5Y and Scoundrels, and was thus introduced to the enormous world outside of Wicked. Norbert=love.

I saw Kris as Fiyero when I went to Wicked last spring. He's really good.
