I'm not sure if it is just me, but it appears to be the man is powdering his nipple! It makes me want to break out into "leave your troubles outside. So life is dissapointing? Errr? Forget it. Whe have no troubles here. Here life is beautiful. The girls are beautiful. Even the orchestra is beautiful." Awww, I love that show...
Where is the photograph from? If it's a magazine, I'd love to buy it just so that I can have a picture of him shirtless at this size.

He's wonderful. Cuddly and cute, but also shameless and amazingly funny.
I agree. So where is the photograph from? I must see it enlarged!
thespian geek may be able to answer where the photo came from. I want to know too. :)
A.
Hey guys,
The picture comes from the latest Newsweek. There is also a half-page write up on Norbs.
Alejandra
I am more of a lurker on this thread, but I am so excited because I just bought my DRS tix. Finally get to see NLB live! Hope it's worth the wait! Thanks to all the posters for keeping the "Norbert Love" alive! Updated On: 2/26/05 at 12:17 PM
Hi hedwig--glad to see you posting! :) Congrats on your DRS tix! I haven't seen NLB live either (*sigh*) but I KNOW he'll be worth the wait.
DRS has updated its official Web site again. You can now download the screensaver. And there is a hilarious commercial now on the front page...it's a small box, that says "customs"? Something like that. I like the Brad Pitt/Jen Aniston joke at the end.
Alejandra
HA! Excellent picture, Chrys.
Alejandra-thanks for the welcome and the info. This will be my first time seeing Norbert(so far settling for the Wicked extras on the "Broadway, The American Musical:) AND my first time in NYC. Jumping out of my skin with excitement! Well...you know what I mean...
NORBERT! SUNDAY TIMES!!
Really cute interview.
If it isn't online tomorrow, I will. It's long-ish.
He does talk about his name though, and doesn't tell the "my dad changed my birth certificate" story. Just says his birth was the first his father actually witnessed, and he was really moved and wanted to name that one Norbert. He figures his mom consented 'cause she was still drugged up.
hey norbylovers
omg- i just flipped to the off-topic board to the adam pascal thread and saw this thread and got so excited - i gotta go get the nytimes off my driveway now!!!!
OMG, we have to read the Norb Sunday Times article! :)
Someone, please type that up.
hedwig: Norb is included on the Wicked: American Musical video thingy? I haven't seen that.
Hopefully Chrys and broadway betty will be on later to post a review of today's matinee. :)
thespian geek--hope your schedule settles down soon. I've barely "spoken" to you all week!
Alejandra
If they don't post the article on the Times website tomorrrow, I'll type it.

*slaps Thespian Geek because she asked!*
Saw DRS again this afternoon! I have a feeling Dirty Rotten Scoundrels is going to make me VERY poor. I LOVE THIS SHOW!!! And I heart Norbert very very much. And I have so much to tell you guys, but it's going to have to wait till after Rent! I'm gonna see Cary!!!!
And I gotta say, Broadway Betty's got balls!
And Emcee, your avatar! I can't believe it's not an Adam one!
*sings "nothing is too wonderful to be true""*
Adam will be back, don't worry. Raul needed some time to dance in the spotlight of being an Emcee avatar.
wheee, you must tell!!
hey, I forgot about that. *slaps thespian geek*.
Chrys: Can't wait to read that report!
BTW, on another messageboard (talkinbroadway), there was a great review of DRS from Feb 24. To summarize (since I don't feel comfortable c/p someone's post), funny bloopers:
Norbert missed his first entrance. So John stood waiting for a few seconds and said, "I'm waiting for my friend." Seconds pass: "You can watch my read this newspaper before he gets here." As more time elapses: "It's in Greek."
When Norbert finally arrives, and goes to where he was supposed to be, John proceeds with his lines. Norbert then says, "Just a sec...I'm still in the dressing room."
Later that night Joanna Gleason's entrance was delayed by a technical malfunction or something, so as they're waiting, John turned to Norbert and said, "This night has turned out to be full of surprises."
LMAO, they are so funny!
