Another new article with Norbert

Okay, quick note I wanted to add to this thread. I just saw Scoundrels today and though I liked Norbie in Wicked, the whole time I just kept saying I looooove Norbert. I kept screaming for him--about 5 of us sort of delayed cheering when he walked on, but I'm glad he got some applause. So now I totally agree with all that he totally deserves and should win the tony. So I told him this at the stage door as he was signing for me(and now slightly regret it, I hope he didn't see that as me cursing him like he's superstitous or anything) but he was like aww thanks so much sweetie. He called me sweetie. I felt special. Anywayz, going back the 25th very exciting. I'm so glad he gets a chance to shine after a lot of people weren't thrilled by him in his role(which I think it was the fault of the role, not him) in Wicked. So just wanted to say...that yeah I looooove Norbie!

Ooh, and one more thing I forgot...when he came out it was really cute his sister was standing there and he's shrieked "Sissie!" and the two of them did like a turning hug thing, it was really cute.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli

I was wondering if any of his fifty billion siblings would come see the show! Another new article with Norbert

Hello everyone today was so great because my bio teacher gave me a New York Times article taking about Norbert. It was in the Sunday Times this past weekend. Did any one read it?

Thanks for the heads up, Emcee! Those Getty Images are precious! Wire Image also has some (I just wish we could enlarge them, but I don't have an account). Norbert, especially, must have been so tired.

Nice to know that Adam Pascal was there, too. Another new article with Norbert

I hope Broadway.com also has pics of John Selya (Movin' Out) too.

Thanks for tips on the pics. They are great! Love the shot of him and his family and, of course, gotta love the shaggy Adam pics as well!

Aw, Broadway.com has put up its photos and opening night video. Nice to see everyone with their significant others. I only wish there was a Norbert/Adam photo. LOL.

If some 64 pics still aren't enough for you, there are some great ones from Rex Features and on ISIFA.com.

I really have to question the use of the last name "BUTZ" i mean think about it for a minute. . .

Alejandra, thanks! Those are all really cute. I can't believe that in all of this plethora of photos, there isn't a single one of Adam and Norbert together. Oh well, can't have it all. Norbert looks absolutely darling, once again. Another new article with Norbert

The last name's German. So yeah, it's a little unique.

Hi Emcee: an Adam/Norbert picture would have been so perfect. *sigh* I did love seeing Adam with Sherie, though. He looks fabulous even with the wild hair. LOL.

These pictures are all quite wonderful. I didn't realize that the group photo on Getty Images was Norbert's (large) family at first. I glanced at it and thought it was part of the cast assembled together! Hehe. Norbert looked darling (and so happy), and Sherie--glam and fabulous.

For easy access viewing, here's the link to the Getty Images. Scroll down further to the older ones and you can see pics from L5Y.

OK, so I was a loser today and spent most of my evening hunting for DRS photos. But at least I've been so happy with them!

Here is the link to the Wireimage photos. Does anyone have a Wireimage account? These are so cute! I just hate only being able to see them as thumbnails....

Just looked at the photos from Rex Features. Thanks Alejandra for posting that link as well. I was the same way with that group shot of his family-thought it was DRS cast/crew at first.
(and is that Michelle's little face peeking out from behind someone in that pic??)

Hey hedwig: I looked at the pic again. I think you're right--that looks like Michelle. I'm glad she was there to help celebrate and support his big night.

My favorite pictures are the ones of John, Norbert and Sherie upon entering the party.

I'm glad she was there too. They seem so happy!
What do you think about the mixed reviews? How much, if at all, do you think they will hurt the show?
#518

Another new article with Norbert

hedwig: I hope/don't think that the mixed reviews will hurt DRS. Critics always have to find something to complain about. It seemed like the reviews were mixed to positive, to raves. Even if DRS isn't flawless (and what show is?) the cast is amazing and it's a very fun, entertaining night for grown ups. Audiences will have to go and find out for themselves how much they like/love the show.

Wicked is a family show, but it got some poor reviews and people still flock to it.

Alejandra

Oh, here are more pics (mostly variations of what we've already seen):

Alejandra-I'm hoping (with all the hope I can muster) that you are right, and I was thinking the same thing about Wicked garnering mixed reviews but still going on to do extremely well. I hope this show is a great success for Norbert and, of course the uber-talented Sherie Rene Scott. (I am currently obsessed with The Last 5 Years and I LOVE both of them) :)

Another new article with Norbert

hedwig: I hear ya. The Last Five Years is my favorite (just ask thespian geek how obsessed I am with the cast recording!). I adore both Norbert and Sherie and admire their individual and collective talents so much. And as far as DRS goes--John Lithgow seems like such a nice guy, very very supportive.

I've been in love with Norbert, in particular, since Wicked, and have had to go back and collect anything I can get my hands on re: Rent, L5Y, Thou Shalt Not, etc.

Oooh, speaking of John Lithgow. I don't know if you have seen my post on the other board but he is supposed to be one of the "interviewees" on tonights Broadway special on ABC. Maybe they will show clips from DRS. (pleasepleaseplease)
