SP-If you love Norbert then L5Y is essential! You will LOVE it! Every song is amazing, you won't be able to skip at all. And Norbs is every other song, it's the most songs you can get of him on one cd without it being a solo which he doesn't have. Let's start a petition for him to record a solo cd after the Tonys! Who's in?

I'm in! Do they have L5Y on Amazon or Barnes and Noble? Or can I get it from Colony etc?
I'm all for the solo recording!

It's $14 on Amazon, get it right away! That's an order! :) I love Colony but they're overpriced. Only get hard-to-find stuff there.

you may be able to find L5Y at a store....I bought mine from amazon, but I saw it at a Barnes&Nobles & Borders. You MUST get it ASAP. After you listen to it...let us know how much you love it! Do you also like Sherie Rene Scott???

I do so very, very much. I adore her voice and acting skills as much as I do Norbert, I also have a bit of a crush on her. :)

You'll be in cast album heaven when you get it! It's truly one of the ocr's I can't live without. You'll wonder how you ever lived without it! I bought it after seeing Wicked for the first time and was instantly hooked. If you can't wait for Amazon to ship it, run to a record store. Virgin Mega has it along with Colony and all the little theater shops. I can't wait till you hear it!

oh my gosh, smart penguin, you must hear L5Y. :) I got my CD through Amazon.com but you could also order it through Sh-K Boom.

It's AMAZING. And half it is all Norb. LOL. I've heard that Jason Robert Brown has a reputation for being difficult, but his music, esp. on L5Y, is genius. He captured the essence of a young, struggling modern couple brilliantly, with an innovative twist--and Norbert and Sherie interpret the story perfectly. :) I love the show so much that I would go to any production of it but Norb and Sherie are my favorites.

Re: a solo CD

I definitely wish/agree he should record one, but instead of a petition, someone should ask him what his plans are, in that regard. It could be that he's working on one in his spare time, but he's such a busy person (the show, being a single dad, etc.). I just wouldn't want to create more work for him, or make him feel like he HAS to do something rather than him, personally, wanting to do it. I tend to associate petitions with a certain level of demand, or forceful request, e.g., trying to save a show from cancelation or something.

I do love the idea of Norbert fan-made shirts, though. :)

Just some rambling throughts.

We def. need shirts....I'll IM you later! Everyone always asks me, "who's this Norbert you always talk about?" I love telling people about him & playing alittle L5Y. I have an iTunes list that is all Norbert, all the time!

hey Pinky: my non-theatre fan friends ask who my AIM avatar is (it was Idina for awhile, then Norbert/Idina (as Elphaba and Fiyero), now it's Norb/Sherie).

I have a Norbert playlist too! Along with one for Sherie, Idina, Bare/Michael Arden, ttB, LSOH, Hairspray, Movin' Out...playlists definitely make things easier. Oddly enough, while it seems like I listen to Norbert the most, my "most played songs" are Role of a Lifetime from Bare and Will I? from Rent.

Go figure.

I'm listening to Thou Shalt Not & I wish Norbert sang "The Other Hours." It's such a good song, Harry Connick Jr. put it on his latest album. But my favorite song is still All Things....I think the words are sooooo beautiful!

Question: Do you think I can get good seats (orchestra row K or closer) for this Saturday evening? I checked ticketmaster and row K popped up, left on the the aisle, but they seemed to be gone a few hours later. After that, it's all rear mezzanine.

Are good seats released 2 hours before performance, or is ticketmaster accurate? Is is possible orchestra for 4/30 is nearly sold out, given it's a Saturday evening? Thanks..not sure I want to pay full price, going to try the lottery first.

Wish I could help you Wendy....I haven't had a chance to see DRS yet

However, my expeiences with Ticketmaster have lead me to believe they're pretty accurate. Good luck with the lottery!!!

Does anyone kknow if there are any particuar performances Norbert does not do??? trying to set up a trip to NYC & I don't wana miss him!! thanks

He has been doing them all the whole time, just be sure its not a vacation week or something and I'm sure you are set. I figure sometime after the tonys they will all need a couple days off. Hopefully for Norb and Yazbeck to polish the little disks.
The lottery has been steadily getting more crowded. I think they probably still have some ticets day of show though.

I watched the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels movie the other night on TV, and really want to go to NY and see the show! Alas, I'm stuck in Nova Scotia! Is there anywhere to hear little clips from the DRS recording? I NEED A CREDIT CARD, GAH! I'd order it in a second!

Norbert must return to page one. I saw DRS again today! Horray for the lottery! If anything its more fantastic than ever. I ca not express my adoration for the show and Norbs. This performance Greg and Joanna were particularly on, my friend and I loved it. My goodness these people can act, I have seldom even watched a movie this many times, I literally can not get enough. I will be going back again, when I get the chance!

It makes five, yummy greatness sorry I'd be green too. I want even more though.
Norbs did not through the moon today, it was my first non-mooning. I thought maybe because its the matinee?
It was still fantasmagorical!

No understudies have been in any performances I've seen. I'm torn too, because I would love to see what they do with the characters but I want to see John, Greg, Joanna, and Sherrie every time I love them so much.
I almost freaked out at the mere idea of no Norbert because I missed his name on the wall at first glace (I always think he should be first and then remember its alphabetical)
the only other Freddy I could deal with is...me!
I loves me some Norbs!
