HI everyone! Sorry I've been away...no internet at my home. How's everyone doing? I start my internship on Monday so HOPEFULLY I'll be able to get on more often.

Just wanted to let you all know I didn't get to see DRS this week Also, i checked three stores & no DRS CD. I wanted to buy two (one for my house, one for my apartment, & the special edition for my car!) Anyone else not find them near you? I hope DC will have some!!!

As for Spelling Bee:
I enjoyed it immensly, as many have said the book is fabulous but the score just does not stick with you. It doesn't quite click in every area, but it is heartfelt, sweet, and very funny.
I would recommend it for the book and performances. They really cracked me up.

Hooray for Norbs and DRS winning Drama League awards! I heard about some sort of backlash against Spamalot a couple days ago. I think we have a race on our hands! Can you believe the Tonys are 2 weeks away?!

SP-I'm glad that you enjoyed Bee. I can't wait to see it, it looks really cute. Did you buy your tix in advance? Was it hard to get a good seat?

I bought my ticket over a month ago. I have not been checking to see how much availabilty there was now. I think Bee is probably my third favorite of the new shows, but it was fantastically funny.

Drama Desks are 5/22-I'll be away, but can't wait to hear the good (fingers crossed) news when I return.

The ceremony will be taled and will be shown on PBS on 5/29 from 12-2pm, I believe.

wendy, I know what you mean about your heart skipping a beat. Mine too! That pic of him in the dressing room is precious, and I love seeing Sherie and Norb everywhere. It's nice to dress up the thread with some images!

The DRS official Web site has been updated. There's a new contest--prizes for fans who write the funniest taglines for DRS ads.

Hey Rufhausin just started for me, first listen to the "offical" obcr! Headed to the DRS site as we speak. So excited for Norb. I hope I can hear about the Desk Award soon after it happens, but I'll be trapped in the NC woods with no internet so we'll see.
-I love "dressing" the thread though.

I have not figured that part out yet, I'm hopeing to be able to get on on weekends and catch all the updates from you guys.
Otherwise I will go insane.
I'm excited to go back to the mountains though, I like my nice balance.

SP-I can't see how you'll be able to function without internet access.

If I had stuck with Amazon, I would've gotten DRS today but because of my unpatience I have to be patient to wait till Sh-K-Boom sends it out to me.

I wonder when DRS will have the souvenir programs. I want me one of those!

BTW, how do you like the alternate version of Nothing is Too Wonderful to Be True on the "official" OBCR?

broadway betty: "unpatient", eh? LOL. I hope you get your CD soon! Chrys & I have talked about how Sh-K Boom prob. needs more help in making sure their cds get out in a reasonable timeframe.

I will be from May 23rd until August 1. Banner Elk, NC working as a counselor to the counselors and Drama instructor at a summer camp. i'll be able to leave some but it is so different.

unpatient is like impatient with the patience totally removed.
Nothing is too wonderful to be true: I love Sherie's voice, I am not used to the changed style at all though, I think it will need to grow on me to reach the heights of the rest of the disk.
Yazbeck doing "Here I Am" and "Ruprecht" is hilarious though, he even uses some weird accent in
Ruprecht"

Hey guys-There is a review of the DRS cast album on playbill.com, which is basically a love letter to the show...go check it out! The writer really "gets" the score, and even predicts a Tony for our Norbs.
