Hi Hedwig! *waves* I haven't bought JRB's new cd yet but the man who wrote the article highly recommended it so I should do so soon. He's performing the new material on Sunday, right? That would be cool to go to. If Chrys hadn't abandoned me for the summer we could go.

It'll be a treat to anyone who sees him perform on Sunday since he no longer lives in NY. I mentioned that I loved him saying he was impressed with Piazza and DRS, I think that's so cool. The man has good taste!
On the "about wearing cannolis to Piazza" thread, I said "if it looks tasteful". I was laughing my ass off but no one else got it, I guess. I was thinking of those "The Office" jokes when I wrote that. "put him in custardy" and "it's just a trifling matter". The silliest things make me laugh.

Hey party people! My friend called me up yesterday and was like "Me, you, and my brother's fiancee are going to see Rent on opening day!" We're just going to a regular theatre on the day the movie opens but I still got so excited b/c I don't know how to drive and I'm not going to ask my anti-everything mother to take me to see a movie about gays and drugs on a Friday. I can't wait to MOO!! in a movie theatre!
What are you all going to do on 11/11?

This is way old but still very interesting. Go to the Theatre Wing's website & click on the professional seminars- working in the theatre. U need realplayer to access the video but the transcript is now up too. ( video is MUCH more fun) It is long tho 'bout 90 mins. Lots of other good seminars too.
I'm so excited! I go to the mail today and there's an envelope waiting for me (I collect autographs so this is nothing out of the ordinary) I open it up and there's a pic of Norb!! It says Liz, All the best, and then his sig. Needless to say I was buggin out! And it's the "want on?" pic, so I love it!! It will be framed ASAP. I'll scan it if an of you are interested in seeing. Sorry, had to share! Soo excited!
broadway betty: I'm glad you won't have to ask your mama to take you to see such a risque flick! I'm planning to watch it on opening day as well, hopefully the theatre will be packed.
Scoundrel: Yay for you and your signed Norbert pic! I've never written a performer but after reading about your success I just might. If you have time to post it I would love to see it.
newgirl: I hope you had fun tonight. I can't wait to hear how it went.
I sent my L5Y booklet to Sherie at the end of April. I might have been better off sending it to Norbert, but I love Sherie too and for some reason it was easier to gush L5Y with her. LOL.
When I sent the booklet in, I already prepared myself for the thought of never seeing it again. It would be nice if I did, though. :)
Since Norbert puts so much into every performance, I can see how he might get burned out eventually and want to go on to the next thing. I like that he stays as long as he thinks he can keep the energy up.
The Theatre Wing interview is priceless. Norbert and Sherie can both get animated and passionate when talking about theatre. Now, if only the ATW could only do a seminar on Piazza, as well....
I probably won't see Rent on its opening day, only b/c I rarely ever do that. I'm the only person I know interested in Rent here, so who knows who I'll end up seeing it with?
It took me a week to see Star Wars and I *still* haven't seen Batman Begins. The closest I've ever gotten to opening day for films? Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Saw "Piazza" yesterday--as wonderful as everyone says, with an A+ cast..(rivals DRS!).
Yesterday was one of the most beautiful days, weather-wise, I have ever spent in NY...saw Jennifer Capriati at the Time Warner Sephora and Brad Oscar at Gristede's..
