Hi TG, I saw some of the screencaps from the L&O episode. Norbert looks so geeky! I think I'm going to have to sign up for Netflix.

She's done the role before, so I'm sure she would be fine...

Hi party people!

I won Spelling Bee lotto(I've never won any lotto b4) on Thursday night and it was really really funny! Definetly the most I've laughed this season. The cast is so precious, each one of 'em! I met most of the cast afterwards and they were all so nice.

Sat night, before FB: SVU started, I was killing the time walking around the theatres on 44th and 45th. I was passing Spamalot and BERNADETTE PETERS walked pass me! I was in shock and I pulled out my camera. All I managed to get was a shot from back but it's something. Walking later, all I came up with that I could've said to her was "Norbhut?", lol.

So, I went to the Imperial and got the DRS program. Here's Freddy's profile:

BB: I'm so jealous you got to see Spelling Bee and meet the cast afterward! I wanted to see it so badly when I was in NY but unfortunately it opened the week AFTER our visit. And then you saw Bernadette! What a great weekend. Did you enjoy Forbidden Broadway?

The program sounds hilarious. Yay, it's only ten bucks! I'm going to rush over to the site to see if I can buy one. And Freddy is only 27? Interesting...

Forbidden Broadway was hilarious! Gerard Alessandrini is a genius. There are already new numbers that aren't on the cd but deserve to be recorded. They usually spoof one song from any show but they spoofed two from Piazza-"statues and stories" and "say it somehow".

Clara's "problem" was very obvious, and Fabrizio was spraying his hair with hairspray, lol. The hat part had to be the funniest visual of the number. A hand comes from off-stage and clips a string on Clara's hat then it's pulled up and down while Fabrizio jumps up and down trying to "catch" it. I was dying! And that was only like 6 or 7 minutes. I love FB!

Freddy 27? That seems way too young. I would have thought more like, 35 (which is still young, but more mature than 27).

I love Norbert.

I am reading HP 6 right now. I just started, so it's too early to form an opinion. I really loved OOTP (my personal favorite in the series) so I skim/read that again first. :)

According to the program, Freddy is 27, Andre is 38, and Lawrence is 55. Freddy's age does seem kinda young but what makes it even more puzzling is that he's also younger than Jolene(32) and Christine(29). I think all three of the men's ages need to be hiked by at least 5 years.

Nick Wyman is John's standby. He's done 12 Broadway shows and 10 feature films. I don't know if he's ever gone on for John but I've heard he's a great performer.

Someone on the main board said that Nick Wyman left DRS. John's understudy is Tom Galantich. They said that his comedic timing wasn't so great but he sings beautifully.

The annual Miscast benefit brought on a silly idea. This is from last year or the year before but it was cool. Denis O'Hare sang "Roxie" from Chicago, Kristin Chenoweth sang "And I Am Telling You" from Dreamgirls, and Jai Rodriguez sang "Popular" from Wicked.

Play along, my darlings. If you could miscast Norbert into any role for a day, what would it be? Male or female. Swapping roles within DRS, any show on Broadway, or any show that's now closed.

I don't know if this is total miscasting but I'd love to see Norbert as Frank 'N' Furter, platforms and all.

Well, the pictures I've seen of Norbs as the Emcee make me think Frank-n-Furter would not be too much of a stretch.

How about Sherie's role in DRS? Mimi from Rent? Or how about Hedwig?

I don't think there is a lot beyond our Norb from Eva Peron in Evita(High Flying Adored) to what I'd really like to see him in "Long Days Journey into Night" as Jamie. He'd just Be explosive.

So, I went to Blockbuster regarding L&O SVU to see the episode with Norbs and was told they expect to get the series soon--good news,but a little disappointed nonetheless.

I had to get my Norbs fix by watching the Tony awards again--noticed that Norbs and Michelle were sitting right behind Les Moonves (CBS President) and his wife Julie Chen.

I'm so happy that Matt is staying on Broadway with a new play but I'll still miss him in Piazza. I'm really looking forward to this play b/c I've heard good things about it and Richard Greenberg wrote it. He wrote my favorite play Take Me Out so I know this new one is going to be hilarious and having Matt in it is just a huge bonus.

As much as I would've loved to see Matt in Tarzan, singing in a loincloth, I think it would've taken him down a notch after Piazza. But he'll get major cred for doing a play. I can't wait! He's not going to get much rehearsal, though. His final perf in Piazza is Aug 28th and the first preview for "A Naked Girl..." is Sept 9th. You can't beat seeing one of your favorite performers in 2 different Broadway shows in 2 weeks time.

Alright lets see.

Aside from the fact that I simply adore him? I've seen him in Wicked and DRS - and have both cast recordings...including recordings of his songs in Rent, Cabaret, and The Last Five Years.
I haven't, however, found time to do the whole stage door thing. I am most definately going to see DRS again and fully plan on it, though.

Uhhm...yeah. Missing anything?
