Alot of stage door pics come out like crap but that one with Matt is just perfect. Totally frameworthy. That's why it should go in the fanphotos hall of fame.

Have any of you JRB fans heard Parade? Some have said that they prefer it to L5Y. I'm listening to it now but it hasn't grabbed me yet. L5Y was instant for me but maybe it was easier to embrace the music since Norbert was singing it.

I have Parade and can't get into it yet, I think I will get to really appreciate it soon.

The lotto thing... I can't even comment at the moment.

TG that picture with Matt is absolutely spectacular!

I really like the Parade cd- but it is a very dark musical. And the original staging left a lot to be desired.

I'm going to listen to Parade a few more times b/f I decide if I like it or not. I didn't think much about Into the Woods the first time I heard it but now I breath it night and day. Who knows, I might come on here in a couple weeks singing it's praises.

I expressed my anger about the new lotto policy on the main board and a few people jumped on me and some other angry fans b/c they feel we should be grateful that there's a lotto at all. It's a different story if they started with the box seats as the lotto but they changed it for whatever reasons. That's why I'm mad.

I KNOW this is gonna cause trouble but.. I can't help wondering if Michele being out and Norb running to pick her up every night.... could there be a Butz in the oven? ( ***Ducks from abuse!!!)

I saw that over there Betty, its not about being ungrateful as far as I'm concerned it is as you said about expectations. There is something far more endearing about the show that lets you sit up front and really experience the show in a better postition than those who pay a huge amount, its nice and special. To have partial veiw seats from the boxes, that as someone pointed out Probably shouldn't even be sold, is just very disappointing.

I need to give Parade some more listens as well, A Little Night Music was that way for me. Although both into the woods and The Last Five Years I became hooked on the moment I played them the first time.

I don't like to speculate on the personal life of actors, but I think if true it would be cute.

"A BUTZ IN THE OVEN"!! Hahahaha. I won't comment on the possibility of Michelle being pregnant but that little quote made my morning! Lottery

I'm going to wait to listen to Parade again, playing Bat Boy now. I just found out it's getting made into a movie musical in 2007. Finally get to find out the big secret! Well, in 2 years.

Well, I haven't been on this thread all day b/c when I came home and visited BWW, I saw the news on Movin' Out. I am sad. I love that show and the cast is among the hardest working out there.

But the discussion on the theoretical "Butz in the oven" (ha!) caught my attention. Whatever the reason--and I feel like we shouldn't talk about something too personal much--I think it's very nice that Norb rushes to see "his best girl." Judging from his Tonys speech (which I LOVED) Michelle has had quite a positive impact on him.

If he's happy, I'm happy. Lottery

Hey I'm glad if it's so!!! ( not getting too much abuse either!) I think it's sweet he takes care of her . But I did find myself wondering if only cos she has been in the role SO long and as she sits for like 95% of it, its one of the few roles an PG woman could do until late. that and her being out so recently after their vac AND the way he barely stops to sign after the show ( so we've been reported) so NOT like him. And his family is SO large. He's got like 22 nieces & nephews! And Michele is 32+ bio clock aticken. But enough spec! all would be revealed in due (PUN Intended) time! And for the record- I DO like saying "Butz in the oven"!!!

sabrelady: Wow, you got my attention. Interesting specs, but to be completely honest, I don't feel comfortable discussing this on a public forum. We never know who is reading. I'm sure no disrespect is meant to Norbert, as we all love him, but the "Is she pregnant?" discussion makes me uncomfortable. It's very close to creating (perpetuating?) rumors.

Judging from your post, I can't tell whether you know/have information, or whether you are just theorizing on the possibilities. Either way, I don't like the topic. Whether a Butz is in the oven or not has no direct bearing (ha!) on Norbert's projects, current or future.

And actually, thespian geek talked to him briefly after the show recently. So did some other girl, from Missouri, who gave him a Missouri keychain. They both got hugs from Norbert and took pictures with him. So he's not always completely in a rush.

A.

I'm trying the new DRS lottery for the matinee tomorrow. I just hope someone has told the people and most of them have gone to try Wicked or something. (although I still want to see Ben Vereen so I may try Wicked later Lottery)

I won tonights DRS lottery, and did get the box Norbert climbs in front of, it was really cool he gave a little peace sign before coming in, it was cute.

The seat had a bad veiw, it is probably the worst in the house besides interacting with Norbert, but it was still pretty good. (I miss the front row though)

Laura Marie Duncan was in for Sherie, she did a very nice job with the part, she has great stage presence and an awesome voice, I missed Sherie but not as much as I feared.
Dennis Parlato was another story though, I did not enjoy his performance at all. He brought none of Litgow's comedic timing to the part and did no dancing at all. Don't even ask about his Shuffhousin accent BLECH. His voice was nice, I guess, but he was not good in the part.

That led to struggles for everyone, for the first time I saw Norbert had to actually TRY to up the energy, he couldn;t bring the A game since he had nothing to play against, he was still great, but a harder to reach great and it was very obvious he wasn't having much fun.

I loved the show anyway, and Norbert, Sara, Greg and Joanna were awesome as usual, but it fell a little flat without Litgow to ground it.

Thanks for that report and congrats! Norbs flashed you a peace sign--adorable! Too bad about John's sub--I thought that was someone from the ensemble named Tom Galanich.

How many people were at the lottery? Did you see the evening performance?

Hmmm, Stokes replacing John would be incredible.

Hi guess, hope there is room for one more in this Norbert love fest. I've been a card carrying Norbert fan since 4/8/97.

I was hoping some of you that are familiar with the show/theatre could answer a question I posted on the main board.

I have tickets for an upcoming performance in Orchestra Row A, Left Orchestra. (actually third row) They aren't listed as partial view or anything, but they are on the left side of the orchestra near the wall end of that row rather than center.

Since they changed the lottery, Center Orchestra row AA tickets are now opened up for purchase and I can get Front Row dead center for the same performance.

My questions are:

A) Is the seating difference worth the hassle of dealing with selling my current pair of tickets?
B)Is there a realistic chance that I wouldn't be able to get back face value on a pair of tickets that close?

Thanks in advance.

SP: You've got your luck back! Too bad they were for seats that shouldn't be sold in the first place but whatever. Sorry the show took such a hit without John. Norbert gave you a peace sign. :)

If they wanted to get a name to replace John, I was thinking Kelsey Grammer might be good. He's been on the stage b/f and he'd bring in people for sure. Only reason he didn't play Max to David Hyde Pierce's Leo in The Producers is b/c he thought it'd be too similar to the roles they played on Frasier.

Patronus: Welcome to the Norb love thread! You've been a fan since '97, cool! So jealous that you saw him in Rent!

I sat in the left orch 3rd or 4th row and it was a great view. Center is always better but I think you'd be just fine with the seats you currently have. That being said, if I had the opportunity to upgrade my tix I probably would. Try putting your tix on ebay and see what kind of price you can get for them. If you sell them the day of at the theatre you might not get back what you paid. Once at DRS, I bought an extra ticket from a guy for $50 who paid $75.

Thanks for the welcome.

I saw Norbert as Mark (his very first performance), Roger, Steve and Gordon in Rent.

I also saw the tour of Cabaret with him as the Emcee.

I am an old-school Norbert fan. Lottery

Thanks for the seating advice on DRS. I thought about tossing them up on eBay, but I then feared that people would look up the show to see what's available through Telecharge and would then snatch my AA tickets.

I think I am just going to buy the 2nd pair and hope that I can get close to full price for the Left Row A pair closer to the performance. It is the week of Thanksgiving so it could very well be tourist land!

Your tix are for Thanksgiving week?! Grab those AA tix NOW! You'll have no prob getting rid of them the day of. Every show will be sold out, there will be cancellation lines so long at half the shows. You could probably even get more than you paid for but we won't go there. Buy those tix now!

I can't believe you saw him in all those roles! I'd do anything to see Norbert as the Emcee. Details, please!
