re: Official Oscar Thread

I think it's possible that Clint might sneak in and take that Best Actor trophy. Esp. if they give director to Scorcese. Foxx has been more than welcomed to the "big time" with DOUBLE nominations. But who knows?

I would not be upset if Leonardo won.

re: Official Oscar Thread

What if Clint wins Best Actor out of the blue? He's been nominated before, and he is 70 odd...what if the Academy think 'Aww, bless his cotton socks...', and ignore Jamie Foxx? I predict maybe Foxx fatigue has set in.

However, after Jamie has won, I will hastily edit this post.

re: Official Oscar Thread

If Jamie doesn't win, who are everyone's predictions for the winner? My money's on DiCapario or Cheadle *fingers crossed*.

LOL..I don't think its that we don't like Jaime, I think we all find his impending victory too predictable.

God can't they just announce them all at once and then let us just watch live coverage of the losers after parties instead. Or just let us watch the Weinsteins for four hours.

re: Official Oscar Thread

This is by far the absolute most boring Oscar telecast I've ever seen. I hope Hilary Swank just rips one up on stage. At least that would wake me up for a minute.

Having just seen Hotel Rwanda last night, Cheadle would be an inspired choice. He was sublime.

Oh, I won't deny it, TheGa, but the teenybopper I was then thought Damn, Leo was soooooo cuuuute! (Which, you know, justifies him winning tonight.)

Leo once said he wished he hadn't made Titanic but been in Boogie Nights instead. He turned down the role that went to Mark Walberg and did Titanic instead

re: Official Oscar Thread

I loved TITANIC, I still do.

This award show is pissing me off already. But I love the Scorsese/DeNiro commercial - the score sounds like the score from THE HOURS.
