That's funny that Nate didn't realize that everyone didn't know. I always assumed that he was gay, but I too wasn't aware that he was out.

Oprah devoted an entire episode to him over 4 years ago after he lost his partner in the Indian Ocean tsunami. It was then that he officially came out.

haha, and see, I actually probably wouldn't think he was gay at all if I didn't know better. He just isn't really obviously flamboyant or anything.

I knew mostly because I remember after the tsunami, him coming on and talking about his partner and stuff

There's no doubt that Nate is adorable, however I don't go along with his taste in home decorating. His products are heavily patterened and dark. Not my taste at all. They are of good quality, though.

I am not crazy about his decorating taste either. I can't put my finger on it but for some reason he annoys me. he is cute though. His new boyfriend is cute. Reminds me of his ex that he lost in the tsunami. I always thought he was gay.

I agree with Dollypop. I think Nate is adorable but his taste is not for me. I picked up his home decor book and was like "oh hell no". He kind of does a shabby chic thing, but with expensive pieces. All of the stuff he sold at Linens N Things was "fug" in my opinion. Very dark and a little gaudy. None the less, I think he is so sweet. His candles were stanky too- I bought a few of those.
