Oprah being boycotted by Republican Women's Group
#1Oprah being boycotted by Republican Women's Group
Posted: 9/6/08 at 11:42pmJust saw the ticker tape under CNN. Whatever the name of the group is going to boycott Oprah for not having Sarah Palin on her show! This is hilarious! Oprah, the "black woman from Mississippi" is totally in control! Oprah has got to be loving this! It's her damn show already. She said she didn't want anyone who was running to be on her show. Wow, she's probably shaking in her boots! I hope Hillary goes on Oprah! I see Michelle Obama is on Ellen this week! Also saw that the Pallin did not make the polls jump high. The anchor on CNN asked people to respond as to why there wasn't much of a bump- one woman responded that she was just like the overbearing sarcastic moms on the PTA that she hated! Even my daughter said how much she hated the PTA moms at her school!

Posted: 9/7/08 at 12:02amOprah had better not cave in and decide to have her on for ratings either.I can see Oprah not wanting her but the networks FORCING her to have Palin on. Oprah had better stick to her word.

Posted: 9/7/08 at 12:12amNo, my instinct is that Oprah's going to stick to her guns and take the consequences. Do you really think her network can force her to do anything? Really?

You mean a presidential election will be decided by a talk show and a bunch of blowhard pundits of the mass media?
Oh, yeah...I forgot we re-elected Dubya. We are a nation of idiots.

Ummm....how can they bash Oprah for failing to put Palin on her show when no one ever ASKED Oprah to put Palin on her show?
Oh, don't bother. You listen to Republicans long enough, your brains start melting out through your ears.

my point exactly, Roquat...all of this BS a mere distraction from the issues. The longer the Dems respond to the Palin bull****, the stupider they become. Anyway, all of this means nothing, since Obama already pretty much has the electoral college wrapped up. Remember the primaries? Wow, didn't all the "experts" predict Rudy vs. Hillary??? The mainstream media is all about ratings. Period. After the 2 week moratorium (ha!) on Palin press coverage, the piece of **** will be be destroyed by the attack dogs,.... on the issues...

Posted: 9/7/08 at 12:30amWhat does it mean to boycott Oprah? Not watch her television show? Unless these women are Nielsen families, why should anyone care? Boycotts only work when there is a product to not purchase.

I have equal disdain for both Oprah and those obnoxious republican harpies.
I hope they both come out looking foolish.

Posted: 9/7/08 at 2:41amIm sure no one tells Oprah what to do. I don't know why, but I think that Madonna must be richer than Oprah. Did you see what she charges for her concerts? And she tours all the time, and has been doing so for almost 3 decades.

Rowling.
Oprah has 1 BILLION 500 million dollars.
Madonna recently released a cd with Justin Timberlake.

Posted: 9/7/08 at 8:36amIf Justin Timberlake were running for vice president, would Oprah interview him?
#20re: Oprah being boycotted by Republican Women's Group
Posted: 9/7/08 at 9:00amOf course she would. She'd scream-out his name during his introduction - Justinnnnnnnnn Tim-ber-laaaaaaake, then proceed to fawn all over him.

#23re: Oprah being boycotted by Republican Women's Group
Posted: 9/7/08 at 12:32pmI am sure their boycottin g is gonna hurt her ratings (said sarcastically)....why would Oprah interview a racist and a women who stands for everything she is against? It is not a media show...it is the Oprah show...so it is biased to what Oprah likes, and trust me that doesn't include Sarah Palin

Oprah's had several shows which featured topics she hates. Remember when she had the citizens of that racist town on?
She's also had rapists, and other jailed criminals on her show.
She's had other people whose life choices she detested on her show.
I'm sure there are more than I can think of off the top of my head.
