I loved this book (or rather, "Push," which it is based on) and I'm curious as to how well it will translate on film.

A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

From what I've heard out here in La-La Land, Mariah is VERY good in the film, but it's just not a big enough part.

Mo'nique, however, has everyone buzzing about an Oscar nom.

... And why is it that every time I see the name of this movie or even read this thread title, I picture Miss Winfrey crouched low to the ground, hovering obsessively over a can of film, just like Gollum in Lord of the Rings?

lol, besty, i think the movie actually was supposed to have been called Push, but they changed it to avoid confusion with the movie of the same name released earlier this year.

"Right, Dolly. Oprah's influence has no bearing on the actual movie, just the marketing and promotion."

Nor does Tyler screenwriting, which is a good thing.
