I knew the ending before seeing it, and I almost think that made it creepier for me watching it. Before it was actually released I just assumed it would be another demon child/Omen type movie, so I had absolutely no interest in seeing something that I assumed would be a half-ass rehash of an idea already done to death. Learning the "twist" piqued my interest and actually got me to go see the movie.

Ah, it's one of my favorite suspenseful films! I love it. A friend of mine was tricked into seeing it thinking it was a movie about a family adopting this poor orphan and the girl bringing love into the home. Boy, he was in for a surprise!
Yes, she is creepy. Another friend couldn't go to sleep after we watched it. She used every excuse to keep us awake with her. The actress definitely deserved an award. I don't care what anyone says, but Esther was a straight up gangsta.
Honestly, the parents in the movie have no one to blame but themselves. First of, why would you even think of adopting the one girl in the orphanage that's alone by herself in a room? That should have been a clue. Furthermore, she had a HUGE vocabulary for a 8(?) year old. Oh, and her name. How many people do you know now that have the name Esther? Her clothes should have also given the parents another clue to stay away from that particular kid.
Dammit, y'all. I had to download it now.
