She was incredible tonight on SVU.
Who saw this?
It was one of the most emotional stirring episodes in a long time.
She had me in tears, she was so brilliant.
The critics said she was amazing in this episode, but just WOW.
I'm speechless.
I really hope this episode helps her to win another GG, and finally an Emmy.

I agree, it was a great show and performance. I have daughters that are 12 and 10 and the content is scary.
HEY!
We on the West Coast have not seen the episode yet...and now I can't wait to. I love SVU, Hargitay and the rest of the crew.

she awakens my wobble.
Yeah, this episode was nothing short of amazing...I love her and she should have won the Emmy over Patricia Arquette...
She's been wonderful on the show for years -- I guess if a big emotional episode focusing entirely on her is what it takes to get her an Emmy, so be it.

and next week looks to be Meloni's Emmy Consideration episode.
^ Says who??
Meloni fails to hit me emotionally on the show like Mariska.
This is the reason she gets all the praise, nominations, etc. Because she really hits the emotional spot of a viewer. And is simply a glorious actress.
i caught tonight's episode as i said in my other thread.
mariska blows me away everytime; tonight in particular. she's just an outstanding actress who is so truthful and real. it's hard to be believe her when i see her at red carpets looking beautiful. i feel like she's truly a police officer.
she needs an emm/golden globe asap. i'll be so happy if she wins. she totally deserves it.

ljay, i meant from the previews it looks like the episode they'll probably submit for meloni's award considerations.
Really? She always seems to have the same expression on her face...Frances Conroy deserves and Emmy before Mariska, IMHO.
Damn, I fell asleep and did not set my TIVO - damn damn damn.
Does anyone know if this replay on USA/TNT later this week or next week?
Damn Damn Damn Damn Damn . . .

I think it will air on USA next week.
Grrr!! I missed it this week!
Amen, Wendy.
Mariska is INCREDIBLE.
But Chris Meloni does get overlooked.
His character is so human.
And it is his inner demons that prevent the audience from connecting to Elliot in the same way that they can relate to Olivia.
When she is at her breaking point, we see fear and vulnerability.
When he is at his breaking point, we see the very evils he's fighting against.
And as we've been trained by the show to align ourselves against those forces, it's harder to be emotionally moved by his performance.
But that doesn't detract from the fact that he's doing excellent work.
It is the fact that he allows himself to delve so deeply into these dark spots in his character that proves his ability as an actor.
They both deserve praise, in my opinion.
I can't believe I missed this. If it's on again, please post the exact time.
