I don't know, I think a lot of celebrities name their kids outrageous names for attention and to keep people talking about them. Like for instance-Rumor, Scout and Talulah (Bruce and Demi's kids), Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet (Frank Zappa's kids), and now Apple, just to name a few. Oh-and who could forget Michael Jackson's kids- two of them are called Prince something or other, but one of them is nicknamed Blanket.

'Apple'? Sounds wormy!

I give the kid four years of photo-ops before she goes from the 'cute toddler' to 'gawky kid' stage, at which point Gwynnie will keep the kids under wraps as it will only make her seem older. It's a classic Hollywood pattern.

geez, gwynnie, i've heard of product placement but this is ridiculous...next time wait until the drugs wear off before naming the poor child.
