I would rather see her sentenced to some community service/road clean up task for hundreds of hours than have her wasting my tax dollars in jail.
And you can...on THE SIMPLE LIFE!

she was already supposed to DO comminty service and did not. Her mother was an ass......the whole family just doesn't get it.
And the disgusting part is she'll come out in 45 days, get a ghostwriter, write a book about it and make another fortune.
I'd title it....BURN WITCH, BURN!
She'll definitely do the talk show rounds, I'm sure.
So what was the hardest part, Paris?
"The clothes. Like, they were so NOT hot, and gross and we had to wash them in this soap and yuck".
or her cellmate.....Doris, or Large Marge, or Snake, lol
or all 3, Elphaba!!
oh now I'm scared.......I can see the first libe of her book:
"they called her snake, because she could shed her skin and suddenly become your best friend after slapping you silly for your cigarettes"
The Hairspray movie opening will be dwarfed by 'Paris released from prison' coverage.
Do you think her imprisonment will mean big numbers for Simple Life 5?
wow... umm... i hope she gets the help she needs, althoguh that doesn't seem to be a popular point of veiw.
yeh... I doubt this experience will change Paris.
i dont think jail will change her, but hopefully the jail will release her to a rehab facility or something.
i seriously dont see how it is ever appropriate to cheer and laugh beacuse someone has a problem and is facing jail time beacuse of it.
it's good that she's not being let off with a slap on the wrist, but cheering and laughing about this is very inapropriate.
hopefully she will get the help she desperatly needs in the form of jail time, rehab, couseling, AA meetings, whatever.
Exactly what Abba said. She messed up and is paying the price. It happens. No need to make jabs at someone who is down already.
Well, if she does go to jail you can bet there will be the Barbara Walters interview (injail), the tell all book and the made for TV movie. She'll come out of it smelling like roses and make millions.
Sorry, I got no sympathy for this one. Especially since she says this punishment is OMG soooo unfair (from IMDB):
"Paris Hilton, devastated with a Los Angeles judge's decision to sentence her to 45 days behind bars - insisting she "doesn't deserve this." The hotel heiress will serve just under seven weeks in a California jail cell, after she was found guilty for violating a probation order and driving with a suspended license in February. The 26-year-old fought back tears as the sentence was handed down to her at Los Angeles County Superior Court by Judge Michael T. Sauer on Friday, but by Saturday afternoon she was back in Beverly Hills, Hollywood, to apparently drown her sorrows with a bout of retail therapy. Earlier that morning, Paris bemoaned her fate to waiting paparazzi outside her LA home, according to the New York Daily News. She said, "I told the truth yesterday. I feel that I was treated unfairly and that the sentence is both cruel and unwanted and I don't deserve this." Hilton is due to begin her prison stint at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Los Angeles County on June 5."
Huh. Boy she's reeeeally running out of publicity stunts, isn't she?
She'll have the most amazing post-prison bash that Hollywood has ever seen!
I have no sympathy for her "poor little me" routine. She's getting off light, and it's only because she's famous. Maybe she should ask her fellow inmates why they're serving time and how long their sentences are and then we'll see how "cruel" her sentence is.
Oh, this made my day! I'm sorry, but I do not have any sympathy for her. Just none.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
I love how she breaks the law multiple times,
Tries to blame everyone else,
Claims, "I just sign whatever I'm told. I'm just too busy."
And then whines about how unfairly she's beeing treated.
Again, what a skag.
i doubt that she will spend that much time in jail... i read that the jails are so overcrowded that one celebrity who was given two months got out after two hours...
Hopefully, but I doubt it, this will mark a sea change in the way celebrities are handled by the courts. "You do the crime, you do the time" Just because your a "celebrity" doesn't mean you should be treated differently. If you have broken the law, you do the sentence given. Period. I don't care who you are.
thats what i thought would happen with Martha Stewart...

But I like Martha Stewart--her margarita recipes are fantastic. I also handmade a mothers day gift for my mother this year as well from Martha Stewart online.

she's got a letter writing campaign and an online petition y'all. Oh lordy sometimes the jokes just write themselves. I think I wanna start a letter writing campaign asking that her ass be kept in jail for the full 45 days, if only so that I can maybe go a few days without seeing her ugly mug on my internets.
I still say that she could hire one of her many Paris drag queens to serve her 45 days, and no one would be the wiser- I'm not usually this shallow, but for someone who is supposedly so 'hott' I think Paris Hilton is one of the fugliest people around. I swear I'm not usually that shallow!
