Thy deliver in nyc now? About 10 years ago hen I lived in DC, I used them and liked them a lot. At the time they were a lot more affordable than Fresh Direct and you could use coupons, as well. Something Freah Direct has never allowed.

Doesn't one of the grocery stores like Stop & Shop use them as their primary delivery service?

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

I use them in the winter a lot (there is nothing worse than a Chicago Winter). I don't mid them, but for some reason I get frustrated looking for the items I want. I like to roam the isles and find what I need/want, but I feel when Im using Peapod It takes me so much longer to shop, browsing through all the items on the website over physically looking for them.

PeaPod and Stop & Shop are one in the same. If you enter your S&S shopper card number you get the sale discounts just like you would in the store and you can use coupons as well. I used them for the first time a few weeks ago when I was swamped and didn't have time to get to the grocery store. I liked it although I found that I spent way more money than I normally would because you have to spend at least $60 for them to deliver your order and $100 in order to get the delivery fee waived. I average about $40-$50 a week in grocery purchases. It's a time saver but not necessarily a money saver...but aren't all conveniences we pay for? Although I will say that the produce was fresh...no bruising and my refrigerator items were cold.

I've been using peapod for more than a year now. I think 2x they've forgotten something and MAYBE twice I had to call because a fruit or veggie was unusable. Both times the matter was rectified appropriately.

Like them a lot.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I used them in Boston. They do indeed deliver to NYC (well I know they do in Manhattan). I live in an area with lots of grocery stores, and frankly, since I'm pretty picky about what I eat (and don't rack up much of a grocery bill), it's not worth it for me.

However, when I used it, I rarely had a problem-and when I did, they were quick to fix it. (Once, as I was unpacking, the delivery guy came back-he realized he'd forgotten an item. They are really good about correcting their mistakes. And, they let you know promptly online if they run out of something-really good-and offer a lot of alternatives.)

I used them all the time when I lived in Chicago. I thought they were a great service.
