Two titans , brains galore, and they're reviled by so many. If winning majorities mean bringing these two down, so be it. It's a shame that Independents hold a grudge against women.I'm happy that the Dems are flooding the market with women candidates. Women should run the world for obvious reasons.

What do you mean by bringing Hillary down? She is a private citizen. She was "brought down" two years ago by dirty GOP smear campaigns, corrupt practice and Russian interference. The bad guys won that battle.

Yes, Hillary is a private citizen but every chance he gets he attacks her. And Pelosi should be in full attack mode but I think it is time for her to step down. At times I don't think she sees things as they really are. That is just my opinion.

All these people who don’t want Pelosi as Speaker...fine. I can respect that. But if not her, than who? No one has offered a viable alternative and no one has stepped forward to say they’ll challenge her. That’s my issue with those 16 members that signed the letter. Their platform seems to be “Not Pelosi.” What’s their solution? Without a viable alternative to offer, they’re just whining.

The one who should challenge her will not because, well...he's a he. Identity politics is still politics and the Dems' burden. I'm confident the Dems will sort out their Pelosi problem between now and early February. It's been in the background for a while but just now really coming to a head. A family member from Phoenix who's in her mid-30s texted me earlier about this very topic. She wrote, "no offense, but I'm sick of being affiliated with a party that treats all the New Deal programs as sacrosanct; only uplifts male candidates who either look like JFK or have Obama's demeanor, and keeps propping up the damned Clintons and Nancy Pelosi". She was an ardent support of Bernie Sanders in 2016 and is convinced that Hillary and Nancy will do everything in their power to block either Elizabeth Warren or Kamala Harris' path to the party nomination because a younger woman nominee would steal their thunder.

And know this...Liz and Beto are already teaming up and taking on the Trump administration right and left.

Krysten Sinema from Arizona would be a better choice that Beto. But neither of them are good choices IMHO.

Elizabeth Warren has 270 on the brain. She needs Beto to retain CO and NM and to possibly flip AZ, basically the Obama path to victory in 2012. She's still very vulnerable in the Old South, Mid-West, and Texas. And she needs someone other than Nancy Pelosi as House Speaker & chief fund raiser, like Tim Ryan of OH. Pelosi's not particularly popular in the parts of the country where Warren will likely struggle, or among Independents; and Tom Perez lacks a certain "umph". Together, Liz & Beto can duplicate Obama's run of 2012 when he overcame the GOP's obstructionist tactics that had been chiseling away at the ACA and depleting his political capital.

How ridiculous. Does this woman identify as feminist?

In any event, Elizabeth Warren will be 71 in 2020, I highly doubt Hillary is looking in her mirror asking who's the prettiest of them all, seething about this septugenarian vixen.

She was comfortable carrying that banner until she married a man and gave birth to their first born a lil' over a year ago. Now, she's concerned that the AZ Dems may not embrace her son when he's old enough to vote unless he's able to check the right boxes. Her husband and mother-in-law are Never Trump Republicans who exert a ton of influence on her these days.

Even Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who I thought for sure would be a “Never Pelosi” very astutely explained on Chris Hayes earlier this week that this “movement” has no real vision or direction. She’s since thrown her support behind Pelosi.

And the “movement” still hasn’t offered an alternative to Pelosi.
