Oprah and your "new age" gurus!?, Anthony Robbins, Deepak, that loser Iyanla lady, etc. STFU already....you're ALL so annoying. (just happened to click on the TV, and they're all yakking some BS baloney) The 70s are over. You're all billionaires, selling your crap tapes and books and seminars.
Add to them the media shrinks, Dr Drew, Dr Phil and the rest! Go Jerk off and STFU!
Oh Tinymagic, I thought I was the only one who felt that way about Iyanla (skank). Tony Robbins, puhlease. He's just so creepy. Don't even get me started on Dr. Phil (white trash). I used to like Oprah, then I started looking closely at the people she thrust upon the viewing public.
oh, I was expecting some snark remarks....just something about "gurus" of anything that tick me off. The no BS New Yorker part of me, I guess. Yes, I detest "Dr. Drew", etc. These people are "entertainers".
I always wondered why no lawsuit re Jeff Conaway's death after his appearence on Drew's hideous Rehab show? I guess those idiot addicted celebs sign away their rights..can't they do ANYTHING in private? ? So sad, these morons who let fake gurus/commentators make a living off their misery>

I find it interesting that Oprah has had a "Falling out" with so many of her gurus. you'd think that two enlightened adults would be able to deal with their differences.
Joe, that doesn't surprise me one bit. Especially when you're dealing with huge egos.
Pet peeve of today (and always) - cyclists who think that traffic lights don't apply to them. Damn morons nearly killed me!
That bothers me, too. The cyclists who want the perks of both motor vehicles and pedestrians, but none of the laws.
Oh, dear. Kad and Jay Lerner-Z--two of the people here that I respect most.
I apologize; I'm afraid that might have been me. Wearing earphones and racing through an intersection just as it went from yellow to red? >blush< Let me explain, though--I was late, and....
Mea culpa.
As to Tiny's pet peeve. I was just trying to tell someone how much I loathed that chick--she was a new age-y guru with white-blond hair (I remember it in a blunt, bowl cut) who was all about telling people that they could basically manifest their own health. She used to prey on HIV+ people in the early days of the epidemic. I'm all for preaching optimism, but she was so reckless. Of course, the unspoken part of her BS was that--since you had control over your own health--if you DID get sick, it was your fault.
Her. I hate her.
I can't stand Oprah. Everyone acts like she's so generous. But, it's all material items. I get that maybe someone might need a car to get to work or whatever, but most of the other stuff isn't helpful.
If that was you, Addison, I'll forgive it.
Your ass-crack was showing, Addison, and you might try a sports bra. Just sayin'.

I'm not sure I'd be able to forgive Addison, since cyclists are not supposed to be wearing headphones while they are riding, especially on city streets.
Couldn't have been me. Never leave the house without full UnderArmour.
And I know, I know, I know about the headphones. It's the ONLY rule I flout. I don't smoke. Or drink sugary drinks--of ANY size. I wear a seat-belt. I wait for the next train. I give up my seat to the elderly, the infirm and the less attractive. Please don't take away my music.
Deluxe edition albums and re-releases with extra tracks sicken me, hence the bump.

Speaking of which (Addison), a pet peeve of mine is when people give up their seats to children. IMO, the kids should be the ones standing!
One of my pet peeves is when elderly and/or handicapped (doesn't have to be both) get to the very back of a bus and then demand people give up their seats, while they pass empty seats at and near the front of the bus.
Those seats are the legally required seats for elderly and handicapped. They're near the driver, who is the one responsible.
Don't be yelling at me to get out of my seat because you want to sit in the back. UGH!
