Anyone know of any articles/blogs/editorials that are online of the portion of Broadway that is a pedestrian mall? Specifically one that prominently features the TKTS booth as well as an overview of the length of it.

Thanks!!

"The Spectacle has, indeed, an emotional attraction of its own, but, of all the parts, it is the least artistic, and connected least with the art of poetry. For the power of Tragedy, we may be sure, is felt even apart from representation and actors. Besides, the production of spectacular effects depends more on the art of the stage machinist than on that of the poet."

I was in the city on Saturday and didn't see anything different.

It didn't start until Sunday, Eris. Missed it by a day!

Well, dangnabbit. We were all excited about it and then nothing. I'll be back on Saturday though.

I was there all day today. and twice, I sat on a lawn chair lounger and read my book and observed Times Square. It was incredible and I love that they did it.

You must remember all the same that at the crux of every game is knowing when it's time to leave the table... And it's important to be artful in your exit. No turning back, you must accept the con is done... It was a ball, it was a blast. And it's a shame it couldn't last. But every chapter has to end, you must agree.

Now the scalpers can stand on the street next to TKTS rather than across the street where they're supposed to be, although it never really stopped them before.

I think that's awesome. I just read the article and saw the part about who came up with the idea. I used to work for a professional association for women in the transportation industry and I've met that woman several times and wrote an article about her when she was appointed to that position. I like her a lot. She's very smart, stylish and gracious. I like her even more now!
