I simply do not understand the need for massive plastic surgery. The tummy tucks, liposuction, facelifts, etc. It seems that people who have them are never satisfied with their bodies and go to great lengths to improve them. Why? Why would a person subject themselves to infections, complications, painful recoveries? All of this just to look "perfect". I can understand when it needs to be performed for medical reasons such as breast reduction because the health of the woman is at stake. I often wonder if people have some deep seeded emotional issues and they think they can solve them with some nipping and tucking.
yeah its definately not for me, I'm way too afraid of pain in general to undergo any voluntary surgery
No nipping and tucking for me. Whenever I happen to pass some show on TV about it and they're showing parts of the surgery, it just makes me ill. I don't dislike anything about my body enough to put myself through that!
i would never do it.
people ask me if i would ever have my nose done (it's kinda big... i can thank my sicilian family for that one) but i would never do it. i kinf of like that it has a bump on it because i'm proud of my heritage, so why would i try to change the way i look because of it?
Absolutely would. I'd be thrilled to get my eyes done and maybe a little lipo.
I'll be on the table beside ya Robbie. Some lipo to my abdomen and chin and I'd be a happy boy.
*shudder* I guess I'm just a big ol' wimp!!
no.... i would never have plastic surgery.
at age 23...no. i happen to like the way i look right now.
in 20 years though...who knows
If I ever got ugly I definetly would.
Would and have had it done....a very minor procedure.
Nothing drastic.
i could use some lipo myself...
Hmmmm. On really low-self-esteem days (oh, we ALL have them) I might say yes... but that's just saying it.
My body is the visible record of who I am and where I come from. My big nose, my Dutch-Irish childbearin' hips, my curly hair, my completely unfeminine muscular legs... all these "imperfections" come from my various parents and grandparents and are visible links to the family member I have all over the country who share these same features. My look may not be movie-star fabulous, but it's distinctive and people remember me when they meet me. To change all that would feel like selling out to me. Plus... results aren't guaranteed, and we've all seen the horrific photos of plastic surgery gone wrong.

We've all seen this disaster, yes?
Pulease Zepka !!! I need lipo and yes I would do it !!! I would be on the other side of Robbie.

or tara reid's bad lipo job.
I actually *do* think that certain facial surgeries are a good idea for some people. When one is born with a facial characterisic that dominates people's perception of them, it seems like a reasonable...even good...idea, to me. We've all seen people who were born with bizarre noses or no chin or a big wart....the kind of characteristics that dominate, disproportionately, how they are seen by the world. I think that tweaking those things so they are less prominent probably impacts their lives in a positive and healthy way.
And I think it depends on the motivation. I have a friend who had a nose job in her late teens. She was born with an ugly nose...not just an odd one with a lot of character, but really unattractive. It didn't look like it belonged to her and it was hard not to just keep staring at it. I think it made sense for her because it removed the one thing that people tended to notice first and remember about her. She could have lived a perfectly happy, fulfilled, and well-adjusted life either way, but the surgery just integrated her inside and outside, if that makes any sense...
There are people who have lost massive amounts of weight and for whom there is no other way to eliminate that abdominal flap of skin other than a tummy tuck. Makes sense to me.
Face lifts et al never seem to make the people look as good as they *think* they do. An obvious face lift always looks a little comical to me. Not a fan.
I totally understand breast reductions for women who are disproportional and suffer from backaches. Breast enlargements I don't really get, but I whatever...
I avoid unnecessary surgery, but only am truly bothered by plastic surgery when it is done with unrealistic expectations or in lieu of issues which would more appropriately be dealt with by counselling.
Would I have it? Probably not....unless someone offered, for the right price, to tighten up that droopy area under my chin that threatens to someday evolve into the dreaded double-chin. That would be hard to resist. Then again, I doubt that the quality of my life would improve as a result... so what would be the point. I am who and what I am. And I'm okay with it.
Edited because I realized I never answered the question...
Tara Reid is just disgusting. She grosses me out.
i've had to get my nose fixxed i was in a bad accident when i was 16
What did you do..trip over a cow harris?
I want lipo!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care that it grows back, I just want it!
I would. If it was reconstructive in nature.
Self-improvement is great. If you had a bad habit, you would work to correct it, wouldn't you? No one ever frowns upon people who quit smoking. If there is some way to improve your appearance, and make you happier, then great, go for it! Naturally, there are risks involved, and it can get out of hand, but such is the case with most things in life. I think that the stigma attached to people who undergo plastic surgery is not fair.
No boobs
was in bad car accident face hit the dashboard, have a few small scars on my face
Harris..seat belt buddy boy. That must've been horrible though.
