I flushed sweet little Glub Glub just like you said Jane and just a few seconds later he came back up the pipes into the toilet bowl doing the backstroke. It's a MIRACLE! Thank you Jesus! And, thank you all for your prayers.

I pray that tmm_fan doesn't actually have a dog. The idea of some people having pets terrifies me and this person is one of them. And, oh my god, your signature! PLEASE SHORTEN IT!!! Or you could just not post anymore. Either way.

oh bww prayer warriors, can you please pray for my other dog molly? she was laying down in the dirt today outside and now she's filthy.
and for those interested, manny's bowel movements are still loose, but much better than they were a few days ago. this is proof that prayer works people!!!!

Haven't you posted and asked for prayers or good thoughts about someone's father or neighbor or something else? I could swear you have done so in the past.

Also, Miss Diva, snarky comments are your domain. I couldn't even hope to compete with you!

Let's hope none of you ever feel the need to ask for good thoughts or prayers or post about your dying cat or dog. I'll be watching in case you do.

i've asked for prayers on behalf of someone else who asked people to pray for them.
although i guess the families of my friends who were shot and killed aren't as deserving of our thoughts as someone who told us that they were on a higher plane of thought than we were.
posting about an animal who is ill is one thing, but coming here after telling everyone off then disapearing for the sole reason of asking for prayers for a dog is a little different.

and even i haven't been as annoying as tmm... and that's saying something.

honestly, if this were anyone else, i'd have no problem showing compassion. but this is someone who has looked down on us and let us know that.

I never thought I'd say this, but I think I agree with jimnysf. I agree that tmm and his masturbatory signature lines were rife for mockery, but I do feel bad that his dog is dying. I've had dogs that I loved more than other family members. I don't think that makes me a nut, nor do I think it makes me a better person than those who disagree with this thread, which I do agree is wholly bizarre, considering his history with the board.

I don't think anyone is out of line for what they've said in this thread, because I appreciate its ridiculousness, although I do agree that perhaps it's a tad hypocritical if you're mocking his requests for prayers in this thread when you've asked for prayers in another. It sort of suggests that prayers (if they were indeed answered) are answered on basis of whose are more valid, a common trait of the believers.

When it's all said and done, I think it's a bad idea to look to a message board to validate you, whether it's asking for prayers, or detailing every bit of your life's minutiae, etc. One man's dying dog is another's trip to Europe, I guess.

That being said, it probably is time to let your dog go, tmm. It's a rough, rough thing, but it's something that always looms of the relationship between a dog and its humans. If you gave him a good life (which I suspect you did), let him have a peaceful death.

like i said before, if it were anyone else, i would have sympathy for them.
the only one i feel bad for in this situation is the dog beacuse it's probably suffering.

i too have pets i love more than family members. i dont post every thing that goes on in my house in regards to pets beacuse for the most part, people dont care.
if you would like, i could fill you in on patches upcomming spay surgery, or the death of one of my parakeets, or the countless fights ed gets into with neighborhood cats or how monk has taken to begging for table scraps, or any of the other numerous things my 2 dogs, 2 cats, 6 rabbits, fish, land hermit crab, and 3 birds do. but do you all really want to hear about all that?

i will admit that if something were happening with molly, my 15 year old dog, i would probably post about it, and i do plead guilty to being a proud owner and posting the occational picture of my 3 month old puppy. and i'll probably post a picture of my new cockatiel that i'm adopting this weekend... but not if i had told off the whole board months ago and only came back to post that.

i have no problem with someone asking for prayers, i just have a problem with the person who did it.
