Kringas- here's my take on it. I have become so cynical from the plethora of "fake" people and fake thread topics and sock puppets, etc. here on these boards, that I have no idea if this whole thread is true or not.

The title of it almost made me laugh. Not by the topic, but the wording.

Anyway, I never would ask hundreds of strangers to pray for someone they don't know. Quite frankly, I think it's an imposition.

i dont have a problem prayer for someone i dont know.
i prayed for the victems and their families after 9/11, and after the tvech shooting, and whenever i hear about something bad happening to firefighters i say a quick prayer for them.
but i don't/didn't know these people personally.

When it comes to this place, I have a handful of posters (at best) that I've actually gotten to know off the board and consider firends, there're those that I have at least met so know they're 'real', those that I give a benefit of the doubt to because someone I know has interacted with them - and everything else falls into a complete nebulous wasteland where they could be anyone or anything - and frequently are!

tmm, people like you who would string an animal along when they're weak and not eating and in need of oxygen, instead of thinking about your pet's quality of life when they're 11 years old should not be allowed to have pets.

i have a 15 year old dog. she is in good health but i know that one day she's either going to not wake up in the morning, or she's going to need me to make the decision to end any suffering she may be in.

as a pet owner, it is your responsibility to end your pets suffering in a humane way.
if you can't handle that there is a potential that you will have to make that decicion, dont get a pet.

He is not suffering and doesn't need oxygen. There is a reason why pet ICU's exist. I for one am so grateful for what they did and thbat they're still here for us.

i hate to break it to you, but they exist beacuse there are idiots who will spend every last cent giving their pet 3 more pain filled days.
i worked in the animal care field in a town full of rich idiots. the things they put their animals through to keep them alive longer than they should have been was sickening.

i've had animals my whole life and taken care of sick animals long enough to know that when an animal is weak and not eating, as you just said yours was, they are suffering.
when you have an old pet, not eating is a sign that something is not right.

for someone who used to only post about "save the animals" you really need a few lessons when it comes ot caring for your own animals.

Save the animals, which includes us ... humans are animals. We all expected Benny to be put down, but when we visited he was doing lots better and was wimpering at us to take him home. With that said, why kill him now?

I respectfully disagree with your mindset, as do many others. But, this world is full of different viewpoints.

It is also full of people who are up to their asses in vet bills because they just had to keep little Spunky alive for as long as they wanted him.
