That's all. Poor Liza.
I don't think she'll last much longer.
ok, for a 58 year old recovering alcoholic and drug addict she's pretty sprightly. first she beats the sh*t out of david gest, who undoubtedly deserved it. then she "forces" her bodyguard to do her.

for the record, i saw her at the invited dress of democracy and she looked in surprisingly good shape, much better than when i saw her just 2 years ago. maybe a li'l bodyguard booty is good for the soul?
I just don't know what to do anymore.
papa,
that was perhaps the gayest post you've ever written.
and you've written some pretty faggy posts.
why thank you, robbie. i take that as probably the highest compliment you've ever paid me.
of COURSE it is.
now bite the pillow.
OOO can I watch?
i'm not taking the chocolate, mason.

i think it's really sad that having seen her mother ravaged by booze, pills, etc. that liza consciously would go down the same road and do this to herself. she's an amazing talent who should have already cleaned herself up by now, she's been in rehab more times than i can count. and i'm not posting this too be an @ss about it. i'm posting this because i happen to think that she has alot more to offer and i wish her to be around to offer it. it would be incredibly sad if she wound up like her mother in the end. Sadly, Marquise, it's a disease that's passed on from generation to generation. "Seeing" it doesn't stop it.
And Beav - tell it to Lorna!
or little Joe. What ever happened to him??
When asked about Joe in interviews for her book and the miniseries, Lorna always says, "Currently he's working as a photographer."
I still weep when I think of him singing "Where is love" on the Judy Garland Christmas Special. Photography probably suits him nicely. He didn't get the pipes Liza did.
Lorna got the pipes, boys. Let's all admit it. She's the one with the VOICE.
i've never heard lorna sing...how does she sound? Updated On: 11/12/04 at 02:46 PM
EXACTLY like Judy. It's spooky. And awesome.
She does have a great voice. But the show, Songs My Mother Taught Me, was just the wrong side of creepy and schmaltzy.
I did not see that. But she used to sing at Rainbow and Stars every year at holiday time - I went two or three years. Just fabulous.
wow, why didn't lorna's career go any farther than what it has. . . was it wrong career choices or is she purposely low key. i just googled her and she's really pretty.
She is a pretty girl and SOOOOO nice and fun. Very down to earth, Lord knows how that happened.
I've wondered that myself. I think it's a combination of coming "after" Liza and bad career management.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but while Liza's talent was incendiary, Lorna's was merely very good - and that makes all the difference.
Didn't see Liza's show. Only saw Lorna's show as I have this thing about the underdog. I was equal parts enthralled and appalled.
And Marquise, Lorna was in Grease 2, so I am going to have to go with "bad career choices".
DGrant, may I amend "talent" to "stage presence"? I think Lorna's talent is much greater, but her stage presence just isn't anywhere near Liza's.

Beav - he is indeed. Her talent allows him to act the ass, which is more the shame because she really is so very nice.
