All I have to say is that THE DEPARTED made me piss my pants it was so goooddd!

I watched it with my friend Scott Evan and I had to keep pausing it because he didnt understand what was going on. Haha. I dont blame him though, it is a little confusing. But it was really frustrating to keep on stopping such a good movie for him!!!!

Oh, I have one more opinion. The Little Match Girl MUST win Best Animated Short. It was the most beautiful film I saw in a long time...and it was hand drawn!

A few points.

1. Although people on BWW seem to have something against Disney, I must say that Cars was by far the best film in the animated motion picture category, Happy feet didn't have as good a story, it wasn't as clever, it was essentially an animated version of 'March of the Penguins' but with gaping holes in the storyline. Cars should and will win.

2. I'm not sure whether Dreamgirls deserved a best picture nomination, maybe it should have been nominated, but anyway. Pirates of the Carribean I think deserved a nomination, perhaps more than Little Miss Sunshine. No, this is not a Disney crusade, it's just my opinion. Perhaps because it's part of a trilogy it is seen that Pirates will have other chances, LMS is a one-off and so will not. Maybe. Blood Diamond should be up there too, and Bobby seems to have bombed, and it really deserved better. In fact, did it get no nominations? I can't see any. Was it released too late for this year's awards, or what?!

I must say that Cars was by far the best film in the animated motion picture category

Um, blech? In my opinion, Cars lacks half the imagination, humor, warmth, origiality, and effortless storytelling the other films by Pixar were famous for. Plus, very few of the characters were memorable, and the second half dragged. Not a bad film, but I do think it is their weakest film. I think Monster House is the best in the category.

I totally lost my Oscar pool- I got 15 categories right, but not enough to beat the guy that got 17 categories right. Should have not second guessed myself on Supporting Actor or Best Picture. Or Original Song. Oh well- better luck next year.
