Oh, Namo, BT11 does not need to apologiize. I am sure he feels bad. I will be the first to admit that I can push people's buttons and stir the pot a bit. But West Nile Virus is a pretty serious matter, especially for the eldery. Some things just aren't a laughing matter. And Yenta's Mother is one.

Sueleen, I would guess BT11 DOES feel bad, and ashamed and embarassed. He has not even appeared in this thread again.

Still, I have questions about the larger phenomenon of people who bemoan others not being "nice" spelling out things that they think "not nice" people are saying. Do they realize that they are INSURING that the supposed hidden subject hurts the supposed intended? I do not get it. But, as I always remind myself and others what Sondheim wrote, "Nice is different than good."

I simply MUST add that the sighting of the two hot Hollywood types referenced in an earlier post was a bit before said rocker went through the troubles. It's very possible she is now not sucking on the cancer sticks.

BTW, this August 22 is my year anniversary of being smoke free.

I have not appeared in this thread because I was sleeping.

In a recent BWW chat, Yenta claimed Dollypop dislikes her very much. So, if this thread was not referring to her prayer request thread...

The next comment happen to come from you Sueleen, a poster with very cruel sarcasm...sometimes very funny...most of the time not. His comment related to Yenta's thread as well, hmmm.

I believe I owe not one person an apology. Call me an immature person or anything you would like. Previous threads have lost all of my respect for Dollypop and Sueleen, along with this one.

Lest I be branded an ogre, let me state that I DO NOT DISLIKE YENTA.

I am extremely annoyed by the amount of PM's, IM's and forwarded e-mails that I used to get from her. I also feel that she doesn't know the difference between "friend-ly" and "friends". She was a student in a school where I taught many years ago and was in one play I directed there. Yes, we were "friend-ly" but at no point did I ever feel that we crossed the line and had become "friends". Obviously she felt otherwise. She went away to college and I didn't hear from her for 30 years.

She found me here at BWW and began acting in a way she did in high school. I mean a schoolgirl crush is one thing, but in the ensuing years I've had various life experiences that have caused me to become a somewhat different person than the teacher she recalled me as being. I received PM's and e-mails from her in which she poured out her turmoils and anguish. I also received a steady flow of e-mails with Jewish recipes and Jewish jokes. Now, there is a possibility I have some Jewish blood in me, but I am an Italian American. The fact that all of this coming from someone I hadn't even THOUGHT about for 30 years made me feel very uncomfortable. In 33 years of teaching I have met thousands of students. I am happy when they achieve success but I don't think about them or cling to them in any way. My concerns are with my little family and my precious little granddaughter. I don't live my life through my former students. No teacher should.

I was really upset when Yenta THOUGHT I had retired last month and posted what amounted to an obituary for me. Now, if our relationship was a close as Yenta thought it was, wouldn't she have known that I've put off my retirement until NEXT year? What scared me was that the obituary contained references to things I'd completely forgotten. Obviously this woman is living in the past.

Yes, I've blocked her PM's, her e-mails and her IM's. This should not come as a surprise to her. Several months ago I warned her about this because I was starting to feel overwhelmed by her then. It's become even more so now.

Now, after you have taken the time to read this, you decide for yourself about whether I DISLIKE Yenta. I'm not saying another word about it. I wish her well.

Brad Pitt has been released from the hospital and will be recuperating for about a week.

Let's hope this illness does nothing to mar his physical beauty.

Oh Dear Lord, we pray that our little Bradley recovers fully to the pre-stricken angel he was. It is our solemn prayer that the illness that has taken him from the masses is a short and painless one that will be forever cleansed from his holy blood and that we will see the face of your earthly angel on the cover of US Weekly by the end of the month.

OK, I've lost track of for what and whom I am praying.

I know I am praying for the eradication of Prince Albert's infection. And I am praying for mental health for all. And I am praying that "viral meningitis," which Mr. Pitt was diagnosed with, is just a euphemism for "dermabrasion" so he can finally be as gorgeous as everybody always says he is. Is that all?
