*choking down flaccid triple shot*
ugh that was rough!! and that thumb thing is what every candidate does. it's less threatening than using a finger. it's short so it just looks like you're always getting a thumbs up, not being pointed at.

Posted: 10/13/04 at 10:02pmBush said "interpreting the constitution" I think the constitution is plain and simple. It says what it means. When people interpret the constitution, that's when things go haywire.

Posted: 10/13/04 at 10:05pmKerry is right. Kid's after school programs (music, art, etc) are being taking away so much. Lots of sports are dissapearing from schools (not football). Also, I went to a public school. Public school as a whole is poorty taken care of.

Posted: 10/13/04 at 10:08pmYes we do, Tiff. Although some jobs pay a little more--I make $7 an hour, but it's still a laughable salary. What's the minimum wage where you are?

Posted: 10/13/04 at 10:09pmI think Kerry has more facts straight then Bush. But both seem like they are both just trying to attack the other as much as possible instead of trying to say why they would be a better president

I think they're both quite boring - GW should patrol around again, just for a laugh - but I think Kerry is winning (?)
What will the polls say?

I'm Canadian and our min. wages vary by province (which is smart, considering the vastly different costs of living in each region), but in B.C., minimum wage is CAD$8/hr. Which equals, like, US$0.73, but the prices of many things in Canada are more or less the same as in America, just in Canadian dollars, so proportionately, our min. wage is a fair bit higher.
$5 is ridiculous! Do many employers (i.e. fast food chains, etc.) actually exercise this minimum?

Every day after the debate:
Democrats - "Wasn't it great how Kerry won last night?"
Republicans - "Boy, Bush sure put Kerry in his place last night."
Gimme a friggin break. Partisanship....ugh.
