states can have a higher minimum wage. i think it's around $6 in california

Tiff that's very interesting that it varies by province. What happens with commuters who cross provinces? I say this because there are a lot of people who work in NYC who don't live here and I'm curious if it would be remotely applicable here. :)

I don't know how it varies in Colorado; this is the first steady, paying job I've had. I worked at a drama camp last year and got paid I got $10/hr. Hardly typical.

ah yes tiff, i didn't have time to get more than 1 price as I was walking through. a lot of them don't have the lv bags, or you have to ask for them to be brought out. the 1 guy i asked said $15 then lowered it to $12 as i was leaving

BB - Commuters get paid whatever min wage is applicable in the province that they work at. That's why, at least with temporary student federal jobs, a lot of people in the maritime provinces (i.e. Newfoundland, New Brunswick, etc.) really fight for jobs in Ontario or BC because they get their lodging paid for, and they get paid Ont/BC's minimum wage, which is substantially higher than theirs, and since the maritime cost of living is much lower, the buck goes far.

A nation-wide min wage is ridiculous. So a fast food employee living in NYC is likely to make the same measly $5 as a guy in, say, Nebraska?

Hey candidates! The fact that your religious is perfectly fine. And religion DOES belong in the White House: in your bedroom, at night, if you choose to pray. Not on the Senate floor!
Keep it OUT of Federal procedures!!!
