Well, you can always rely on FOX News, can't you?
Isn't Rupert Murdoch quite evil?

What else could he be? His name is RUPERT MURDOCH! That sounds like a James Bond villain.

BUT i gotta say, having an anchor from CBS news moderating this debate? I mean come on. Let's at least TRY to find a non-partisan mediator. We might as well get Bill O'Reilly to sit at that desk!

ok...so yes, Bush seemed overly coached, but regardless, I think Bush may have won this debate. I still think the end of the road is right ahead for Bush, but...he won this battle.

Apoligies to B.B. Wolf. In my haste I glanced at your "post" date instead of your "joined" date. Just haven't seen you 'round these parts since I joined. My bad.

I concur, touchme. If I had to pick a "winner", which as I tried to say before is TOTALLY subjective and never has an affect on people who are already decided, I would say that Bush won tonight.

As if we all didn't KNOW who the Big Bad Wolf is and what other name(s) he posts under.

So clever of you to cleverly show up tonight under that clever monicker. (Monica?)

I was SO surprised when you concluded that (gasp!) Bush won the debate.

Fine. Now go back to your regular name. Or should I say "names"?

I noticed that while Kerry always refered to Bush as "the president", Bush always refered to Kerry as "him" or "he" - not showing enough respect to call him "Mr. Kerry" or "Senator Kerry".

Maybe Bush couldn't remember his opponent's name.

By the way, Kerry saying "idea-er" is just his Boston accent - like the way JFK said "Americur" and "Cuber". That's different from mispronouncing "nuke-ular" out of stupidity. Updated On: 10/13/04 at 11:28 PM

Actually, Jon, to be honest, I know a lot of Texans that say nuke-u-lar. So that's just as much of a regional accent as idear. Doesn't mean I like either of them.
OR that either of them should be President!! re: Presidential Debate - Round 3

Bush wants to somehow lower the number of abortions without supporting the education of birth control (with the exception of abstinence as being the only method of birth control). Apparently, the only methods of sex in his eyes is either none or unprotected. He never discusses safe sex or birth control.

And how about his answer on raising the minimum wage? Oh wait! He discussed something else entirely. He didn't even come close to the topic.

His sneering and cackling at Kerry as a means of discrediting his answers was one of the most sickening and immature displays I've ever witnessed in a debate. Trying to start off his answers with some little attempt at humor with a jab to Kerry was not only not funny, but just unprofessional, disrespectful and childish. Even when Kerry spoke out against the administration, he handled himself maturely and in a manner that was at all times professional. Bush acted like a little kid rolling his eyes and saying "WHATEVER" as a means of defending himself when proven wrong. It was putrid.

In a nutshell: Kerry acted "presidential". Bush did not.

Which is REALLY interesting, because that's where Daddy Bush went wrong when he got beat by Clinton. Don't you remember -- Clinton's poll numbers were rising, so Bush started calling him "Slick Willy" in press conferences? I remember that Barbara Bush even thought that those kind of name-calling tactics were a mistake for the President of the United States to engage in.

Guess the Bush men can't take criticism or anyone challenging their positions. Updated On: 10/14/04 at 09:40 AM
