Agreed...on pretty much all fronts. I am kinda fascinated by Elisa and always interested in seeing what she'll come up with. Even though her previous garments weren't necessarily practical, especially if the model can't walk, her aesthetic is different and interesting. Although her summary for last night's dress....say what? A deep, dark, macabre version of Gretel??? How was that macabre? From the shiny, tin foil floaties- errr sleeves- to the fact that it actually said Hersey on it...hmmm. But I do think she would have gone a little further without the floaties. :)
As for Weepy...it's part of the formula. Just like The Real World has the drunk, the mean one, the conservative easily shockable one and the slut, PR has the dude who can't ever stop crying, the one who you don't really get and you're not sure how they got there, the mean one, etc... So right there it's Ricky, Elisa and Victorya. And yeah, robbiej I'm with you. I can't stand her. It seems she has an awful personality and I don't think I've seen anything I like from her yet.
I do think that all of the outfits were constructed so much better than most of the previous challenges.

Heh. I loooved that coffee filter dress. Michael was really hit and miss. He had a lot of promise but went all Baby Phat with his final collection.
Michael came out of nowhere to win me over week after week, and then the bottom fell out...LITERALLY, with his final collection of crotchless hoochie crap.
Next week's episode looks like it'll be nothing but Ricky crying. I don't have a problem with people (especially guys) who are in touch with their emotions but c'mon!!!

I thought Rami's dress was too cute. He's my favorite this season so far -- and Jillian. She has a simple, but nsophisticated aesthetic and her clothes always look well-made.
Elisa's dress was awful, but I will kind of miss her cooky personality on the show. I was impressed with Chris' comeback. His dress was cool.
Awww - there's always a town crier. PR's is Ricky this year. I still like him. I think he's sweet.
What is the challenge next week?
"Awww - there's always a town crier"
Oh, that was a joke-from A League of Their Own. Remember when Tom Hanks said "there's no crying in baseball?"
I thought Chris did a fabulous job. It was his best yet.
I think overall the designers really turned out some great pieces.
Even the bottom 3 weren't that bad.

Jane2 - I didn't even realize that! hee hee, good catch (no pun intended). There's no crying in baseball! (There's no crying in fashion!)
Vyctorya (or however it's spelled) would have done better if she just let her model walk. That stick figure pose was wierd and made the dress look bad.
Christian's peanut butter cup dress was cool. But in pained me to see all that chocolately peanut buttery goodess thrown into the trash (I wanted to eat the discarded peanut butter cups!)

Victorya's dress was bad 80's Bat Mitzvah.
"Even the bottom 3 weren't that bad."
Very true! Nothing was awful.
I mentioned this earlier - I don't know if it was from the way it was edited or what, but I could tell from the very beginning that Elisa was out.
And I can't stand Christian, even if he's talented.
how did rami win this challenge? his dress didn't look so hot, maybe it didn't translate via TV. jillian at least pulled off something out of the actual product, not just wrappers or fabric, and it looked stunning. and kevin's was gorgeous. i wouldn't have voted elisa out either, her dress was slightly fun, not like sweetpea's last minute throw together or victorya's ruffled nightmare.
Peach, I hear you about the candy being thown out. I would have eaten Jillian's Twizler dress!!

I disagree...based on the design alone on this challenge, I think Elisa deserved to go home.
I wish her the best, though. She's batty, but harmless. I hope she continues to take risks and does well for herself.
I didn't love the twizzler dress, but I do give it to her hands down for the craftsmanship in putting it together-it was very well made, and it was candy, after all.
What I'm wondering, is where did they get all that actual fabric? I've been in that store many times and I don't remember seeing so much fabric. It's mostly paper.

Jane, there were fabric pillows with the candy logo on them (brown for Hershey bars, silver for the Kisses, red for Twizzlers, etc.).
Plus, they are giving them muslin to use as a foundation fabric.
Some used plastic bags over that fabric.

I saw rolls of something (it looked like sheets of plastic) that had the candy logo in the background of one of the shots yesterday.
Chris's dress I liked best. I think Rami won because of the craftsmanship, and I think the judges were looking for something that utilized the non-fabric materials.
thanks guys, I had only seen the brown pillows when Chris was taking them.
I think Rami won because of his see thru shirt.

Rami's work was meticulous. Aside from his attention to detail--and the amount of complex work he was able to complete in such a short span of time--his creation was really fun and charming. Chris and Jillian's dresses were, too.
Christian's dress was a beauty, but I think robbie may be right--if he had used some of the gold wrappers, it would have popped and appeared as fun and lively as the others. That may have been what kept him out of the top three.

mmmmmmhmmm
I loved Christian's as well, but its relatively boring color palette among all the reds and silvers definitely didn't help. I wish he had used the gold foil... or even just eaten some of the peanut butter cups. Kid is too freaking skinny!
Overall I'd have to say I didn't realy have a problem with the judges' decisions, although I personally would have sent Sweet P home for that skirt alone, and probably given Jillian the win for the construction on that corset top. Gorgeous.
My top:
Rami
Jillian
Christian
Kevin
Chris March
Ricky needs to go. He needs to stop crying. It bugs me.
I loed this episode! Anyone have any idea of what next week's challenge will be? Becasue it seems crazy.
