re: Prom Night

I went to an advanced screaning and thought it was entertaining. Its much better than When a Stranger Calls and Black Christmas. I jumped a few times but i expected some of it.

re: Prom Night

I know. ha.

Its one of those guilty pleasures though.

re: Prom Night

Was there gore or was it one of those castrated remakes they do?

re: Prom Night

The title always makes me think of "Carrie"

re: Prom Night

I dont think it will even compare to Carrie...but it may be where the producers got the idea.

re: Prom Night

You guys haven't seen the original with Jamie Lee Curtis? Classic slasher film right there.

There's no telekinetic powers in this one.

re: Prom Night

wasn't this the one w/ Jamie Lee Curtis and Vanity? on a train? 2 of Adam Ant's girlfriends in the same movie?

re: Prom Night

I almost want to-

becuase I love Ms. Snow

but I hate scary movies because I'm scared easy, and also I don't think it's done well from the look of the trailer..

re: Prom Night

The original wasn't very good even tho it is a cult classic now. i'm sure this one will end up down the same path.
#18

re: Prom Night

Thats true, but it wont stop me from seeing it. I love corny horror movies like this one and the original. Its an addiction.

re: Prom Night

Why can't they leave well enough alone? Didn't they learn from Psycho, Halloween, Carrie (TV), etc. An original idea, please...anyone...anyone....

"wasn't this the one w/ Jamie Lee Curtis and Vanity? on a train? 2 of Adam Ant's girlfriends in the same movie?"

That sounds like 'Terror Train.' But I don't remember it well enough to remember if Vanity's in it.

I'll be seeing 'Prom Night,' even if it looks like they totally changed the plot from the original. And by 'plot' I mean 'identity/motivation of the killer.'

re: Prom Night

I saw Terror Train on TV back around Halloween. I was bored, but couldn't stop watching.

Jamie Lee Curtis really is the Queen of the Cookie Cutter Horror/Slasher Movie

re: Prom Night

If they remake something, why don't they just remake it and not do a complete rewrite? It's getting to be quite annoying now.

re: Prom Night

The word they like to use is "re-imagining"

re: Prom Night

re-imagining

Yeah, then make a totally new movie.
