Lindelof won't eff up the sequel

Taz, when I saw that on my twitter feed I just took it as my early Christmas present.

It still remains prettiest movie I saw of 2012 in terms of design (and one of the few 3D movies that actually felt right to have the glasses on) but io9.com did a read through of the original draft that made me think of what could have been. It was not perfect by any means, but I think the film would have been helped. Namely, NO PETER WEYLAND SECRETLY ON THE SHIP AND NO SECRET FAMILIAL RELATIONS.

I also think if there is a sequel, I secretly would not mind if David and Shaw just become 'Itchy and Scratchy In Space' frenemies.

I read that original script too, strummer. It was fantastic. It had all the BIG QUESTIONS that Ridley wanted to deal with but it also had a sense of internal logic that Lindelof seems to have excised.
